GO TRUCKIES GO!
;) How about a bike protest? Pile a few thousand bikes into town! Can be quite a fun run! :2thumbsup
I've been listening to the talkshows and following the news and government issues big time for the past 2 years. I come from a country where everything went down the gutter due to government's hidden agenda. The EXACT SAME THING is happening here.
The Kiwi has 2 chances for survival, get the governments out and the Swiss way in (For those that don't know how it works, you have referendum boxes similar to lotto stations at every supermarket, filling station and dairy and for EVERYTHING that pops up, the PEOPLE vote, not some :zzzz: idiot in parliament.)
That will save millions in salaries and fancy cars alone.
The other chance I will elaborate on a little later. Anyone with some ideas?

I vote we distill all the idealists into a highly refined form and use them to power something useful.
(Sigh) This is going to be a loooooooong election.

New Zealanders have got the political system we voted for and the government we arguably deserve.
We're a nation of apathetic, self-interested, lazy slobs, who think that our country is somehow blessed with attributes others lack. We're jingoistic, beer-swilling, child-abusing, wife-beating, redneck oiks who think we're somehow superior to Asians and other recent immigrants who actually value education and have the gall to want to strive for a better life for themselves and their children by wanting to work for that.
We need to get over ourselves and take a real interest in the future of our nation. If we wake up one morning and find that what we thought we had is gone, we will have nobody to blame but our sad and sorry selves.
oi....nothin wrong with rednecks...I might do something about it, but first I gotta whack around the missus and kids, then plonk my butt on the sofa to watch some auto racing, and swill some beers!
Then I might go and abuse the fuck outta the chinks who refuse to take on our customs!
Besides which, some think that I dont give a shit so why the hell should I do anything about it!, I will let some other arsehole do it for me!

you have referendum boxes similar to lotto stations at every supermarket, filling station and dairy and for EVERYTHING that pops up, the PEOPLE vote, not some :zzzz: idiot in parliament.)Right, so every minority in the country gets suppressed by the voting majority ? I hope you are mainstream, because if you aren't then all your toys are about to be outlawed, and since when were motorbikes mainstream ? THINK carefully here!
I vote we distill all the idealists into a highly refined form and use them to power something useful. Here we go again with the same type of thinking "everyone who thinks something different to me is wrong and should not be allowed their lifestye."
New Zealanders have got the political system we voted for and the government we arguably deserve.Yeah, where the individual is respected over and above the mass.

We are a nation of people who were actually doing something interesting before we got tricked into listening to all this depressing crap on the radio, and getting involved in all this useless discussion about it on the Internet.
GO BACK OUT TO THE BLOODY SHED and pull your bike apart, or go see some mates and drink some piss, and quit fucken moaning and get back to your roots. You were far more interesting when you were having fun and doing something illicit.

Unfortunately all the people that have good ideas and talk sensible are not in Politics.....
would be good to have MP's that actualy represent our viewpoints....maybe they need to be neither Labour nor National, just people with comon sense that can speak on our behalf ..... would be happy with that

The biggest problem with politicians is that they just want to be loved. Most of them are nice enough folks who have sucked the right dicks to get on their respective party lists. Not exactly a process that encourages original thought and innovation.

Now then, let's start a poll. I mentioned "2 chances" in my first post. Herewith the second -: I seriously think that Leighton Smith :first: will do a FAAAAAAAAAARRRRR better job of getting things sorted than Clakky and Key together. He uses logic and COMMON SENSE :2guns:. Any others that you'd like to nominate?

Too late it's already been tried but correct me if I am wrong. :shifty:
I think he stood for National against Georgina Byers (Labour) and lost heavily and suffered a big dose of the sulks!
Well something similar to that anyway. John.

To be honest NO hard work goes into actually becoming a politician.
It is just like Playcenter - where you walk around everyone in the back yard asking "do you like me or him".
A wise child remains undecided - because in reality you are not choosing you best friend, but the asshole you don't hate as badly as the other asshole.

Yeah, where the individual is respected over and above the mass.
While i agree with what else was said - your actually wrong with this point. It is actually the mass over the individual - there are alot of very stupid people in NZ.
I have one simple philosophy in life, you always have a choice.....you own personal choice......it defines who you are, and where your going.
You do not have to vote in NZ - so if you don't like the cadidates what option do you have?
Seems to think most NZer's have this bizzare assumption that "you must vote".
Its not like taking a shit - its not even important, you wont die if you dont vote........
If you dont vote - f all in NZ changes.......infact by note voting all your going to do is improve NZ as it means that you are saying to NZ
"I don't like you politicians, and i dont care for what you do.....wankers"

I see your point, but is it not a bit ostrich to refrain from voting?
I'd rather do what I'm doing currently - make as much people aware that there are better options - like Paul and/or Leighton. If we (non-arseholes) stand together. we can eventually :kick: those lazy thumbsucking taxraping ratfaces out of office and get the right ones in. I still think the Swiss system is best by far. Just look at their country and you'll understand - it works!:woohoo:
If the whole country stops voting apart from 3 people, and Labour gets 2 and Nat gets 1 votes, they will still stuff up the country because they have won the election. We have to do something to stop this monstrous cycle. We can find someone in NZ to vote for that will kick some :moon:, don't ya think?
