I reckon it's the toe slider/armour off a race boot peeling asunder - or a basketball boot shredding.

Looks like the latter to me - ouch!
Anyway, if you look closely at the bike you can see the likely, rather expensive, culprit behind the incident :D

Hayabusa = Peregrin Falcon in Japanese

Looks like he gave it too much off the line, and it went straight out from between his legs, onto the bike wheel and overrrrrr....'
It is indeed an EPIC FAIL.

Yes, there's a pod filter poking out of the fairing, that's the give-away - but you can actually see the nautilus itself hidden away inside the fairing just behind the front wheel.

:eek5:
So it has a turbocharger AND a snail? :2thumbsup:
I bet that's the problem - the snail dribbled sline on the tyres.
Timmay

nope, that is the air filter, the turbo is the metallic oval in the opening behind the front wheel, well spotted

WTF - does it look like he's suffering from a LACK of traction to you?

The air is supposed to be in the tyres - not the tyres in the air.

I like what he is doing with the toes on his left foot, Must be a great party trick.

Party pooper alert - It looks a bit photo shopped. Tyre outline doesn't look right - screen and tailpiece are too clear - why would the screen fly off like that in one piece? I don't doubt the rider is real but the bike don't look real.

Look's to me like his left boot is actually melting.

why would the screen fly off like that in one piece?
They do that when an impact cracks the plastic around them. Those screens are ridiculously tough.
You haven't crashed a faired bike and had it bounce off its roof before, have you...

Nope I don't intend to. If that was the case then the bike would have to be on its second "bounce" in the photo. Just doesn't look right to me.

Hmmm. So that's why the yanks love fitting those super long swing-arms to their Busas.
