The k8 dosnt feel as fast as the k7...But hey as soon as you put a three way switch on anything its not going to work propely... Aye..
Neither will pull the front wheel up in 3rd....And only just in 2nd over a bump....:)

Talk to Speedie, Bret. He reckons the K8 is just the dog's bollocks.
I'm looking forward to trying one out myself.
The forks are different, with high/low comp adjustment, and they have the electronic steering damper

There's also a larger 17-litre tank to provide fuel for the 16,000rpm redline engine, which features three engine maps selectable on-the-fly, like the Suzuki GSX-R1000. It also has a new Suzuki fuel injection system, and is housed in an aluminium-alloy frame, with a new rear subrame which saves 125 grams. There are fully-adjustable Showa forks and rear shock, 14-position adjustable footpegs, an electronic steering damper which reacts to the speed of the motorcycle
So not to much change really
good write up i found -> http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=5368&Page=1

MCN, I think it was, had a good writeup.
Sounded like the K8's basically a bit slower and not much else is different, apart from it being $500 cheaper; the K7 was perfect and so Suzuki decided to just make it slightly softer.
Sound familiar?
I agree that the K7 750 was a wonderful bike. Perfect sportbike for the road if you can fold yourself up onto it comfortably enough (I can't).

All I can add is that the difference between the K7 and K8 600's is quite remarkable (for the better). Not sure if they've made similar changes to the 750.
Much better midrange on the new 600. Would be nice if they've done the same to the 750.

Did you try the footpegs in the 14mm lower position? It makes a hua of a difference, a lot more comfy. I've lowered the footpegs on both of our sem fiddys

No. Didn't know there was a lower position.

I bet!

You have the option of moving them back 14mm, or down 14mm, from stock

Half an inch only makes a difference if you were already comfortable on the bike.

You would be surprised.... the difference in comfort feels like 14cm. I rode my bike with the "as delivered" setting for about a month, then changed to the lower setting, and have left it that way... it is WAY more comfy

The k7 is from 2007 and the k8 is from 2008. That's one difference... I think.

Done it. Not surprised.
Buell 1125 has adjustable foot contols. They don't make any difference to size 13s either.

Big Dave's right.
I can't bear an 'as-delivered' K7 750 for more than about 20 minutes.

Much better than they were a few years ago nonetheless.
Thing is Pussy the adjustments enhance comfort if you already fit the bike - good things - they don't make it fit if you are too big to start with.

The K8 has gained a few KG, and they've added to the midrange. The K8 also has the stupid chicken switch from the 1000 (the most redundant thing in the world).
So, it's gotten fatter, heavier, softer, and it's now fitted with chicken.
I reckon the k6/k7 is the peak, everything is going downhill with all the bullshit emissions stuff (and I'm a greenie so I'm normally okay with stuff that saves trees and C02 emissions).
Cork all the frigging cows, shoot anyone driving an SUV or HSV, but leave the bikes alone!

The bike has to fit, or the other way round, I suppose. I'm 6ft, 97kg, size 9.5 boot, and it's great for ME... individual thing I suppose

My issue with the K7 750 isn't a size thing, it's just that both my knees are fucked from too many pushbike and motorcycle crashes, and if I hold them bent past a certain angle for too long they get real fuckin' painful.

Re the knee issue... Gassit Girl no longer has a left kneecap( though her legs are shorter than mine and presumably yours), and my right knee has been chopped into on two occasions. I do understand, though, different preferences of comfort. Both Annie and myself found the sem fiddy a bit uncomfortable with the pegs on the out-of-the-box setting, but are quite happy with the way they are now.

Actually, it's not just my knees. Years of unscientific powerlifting and cycling have left me with hip flexors and ITBs that make physiotherapists run screaming for the hills.

The advice that I'd miss my knees when they were gone - well, the best advice that I ever ignored....
Cycling + MTBing = no knees. Motorcycling is safe(r) in comparison...
