I want to enter the Manfield Winter Season in the streetstock class and I need to know when it starts, entry fees, stuff I have to do to the bike to prepare it and anything that could be of any help.

OK, the first thing you need to do is join Victoria Motorcycle Club (dont know what their fee is probably around $80 but dont quote me).. Then their is your bike, you need to lock wire the sump plug, oil filter and put all your overflow tubes into a overfloe container.... You need some leathers, and a back protector, a good helmet....

Then it helps to have good brake pads and sticky tyres....

Then you can go racing :niceone:

It may seem like a big list, but dont let it get you down, it can be done.... PM svs about the Victoria Club....

Try $35! $25 for renewal.

I'm not up with the play yet myself on the winter series, but you can try here:
Vic club web site (http://www.vicclub.co.nz/tiki-view_articles.php?type=Article)

I see they haven't yet got the winter 05 entree forms ready.
Was $55 per round for Vic club members last year. $65 non members.

PS. Welcome back TS. :wavey:

the other thing you will need is an MNZ licence (~$100).

First this is to join a club e.g. vic. Once you've got that, then get your racing license from MNZ. After that, wait for the entry forms the events to be published (either at the vic club site, or maybe at MNZ).

I've asked derek for updated info about the coming winter series and I'll put it on the web site as soon as I know anything.

Don't worry too much - things have a habit of coming together at the last moment.

Did this to the KX when I got into motard

I have a racing licence and I have to renew it sometime late this year, and I'm pretty sure I'm in the Vic Club, I'll ask my Dad

Also have 1 peice suit, back protector and I'm not sure about the helmet (its a HJC CS-10, $160, might be too cheap)

Is there anything else? Do I have to sort out nylon sliders like I had to do with the KX?

Don't need sliders - that's up to you.

Other things:
No glycol coolant. Use straight water or you can get special additives.

Sounds like you've got the gear sorted. Helmet is probably OK - check which standards it meets, if you've got the MNZ handbook, then you should be able to look it up. Failing that post the small print here and I'll have a look

More info on the 250 class here (http://http://www.vicclub.co.nz/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=6)

Membership will be same as for 2004. Use the forms on the website if you need to join. Rate isn't discounted since it was so cheap anyway.

Winter series details will be finalised at a meeting at the end of january - I'll post the details on the web site when I get them.
