Take it from me, *nobody* is happy about being fat. I've been to both the 'clinically obese' and 'sub 10% body fat' places, and believe me, whatever people say to the contrary, the psychological and social impact of being visibly overweight is definitely there, and unpleasant.

Which is why my NYR for '05 is being back in proper shape (defined with much finger-waggling and frowning by Mrs Random as having body fat below 13% or so) by the middle of the year, and bloody well staying there. It just makes life easier (and my bike go faster).
