To find lock ... lift seat......... tee hee
Key lock is (usually)on the left side, often with helmet lock/holder...

the only key lock near the seat is to hang your helmet on but this doesnt release the seat,I know it will end up being something simple like that tho.......this is where a manual would be handy lol

well the helmet lock does have a cable attached to it but no matter which way i turn the key the seat remains locked.I have to assume the cable is broken/faulty. :argh:

Must be broken. With our bandit you turn it one way for the helmet lock and the other way for the seat. The seat might just be a bit stuck. They can be pricks to get off sometimes

I agree with Phoenix. I had a hell of time trying to get mine off the other weekend, to jump start my bike (not that it worked.... damn it!)

This was the case with this one. Hold your mouth the right way and push on the right point and it came off ok. Its the little things that get ya, eh Spittie?

you'll need a No.2 philips and a 4' wrecking bar.

if the screwdriver doesn't get it, the bar will.

If I recall: press down on the back of the seat and turn the key the opposite way from when using the helmet lock.

Aye, but when I worked at the bike shop some older bandits you turned the main key in the ignition past park.
I spent a good hour trying to work that one out while the others giggled to themselves.

Same as the RF. Figured you'd had a decent look for a key hole.
