hehe, well I just had a drinking meeting with a vendor who thinks that woman who ride, let alone race are HOT! But as far as he was concerned, woman dont ride. WELLL.....
I was telling him about the Jill Clendons, Vicki Striefler's, Aria Lawrence'sand Natasha Hollow's etc etc of this world etc who actually get out there and race WHILE kicking the arse's of some of the boy's who race as well. He couldnt believe that there are girls out there that have balls bigger than some Australians! I was telling him about the racing in the weekend and how Aria and Vicki were kicking arse in F1 and Supersport and how Nicki, Aria and Vicki were more than threatening some of the fulla's in there classes!! I told them how they were all fucken demons who made racing in the wet look WAY more than easy that it wasnt funny. Then Nastasha who gained an easy 3rd place (even while beating my mans arse!) As far as I am concerned its her first season too!! :niceone:!!!
Man, im PROUD to be a chick who rides and I cant wait until next round where I will hopefully be able to give a go to!

when i had my ER6n i raced a girl on a modded SV 650 at taupo.
smoked her, girls are slow!

So many people support us out there, guys and gals, and it really does help like Nicksta said. And her calming influence at the track is just neat, watching her progress to 'kick-arse' mode is fantastic! and well deserved:2thumbsup.
I guess 'gurl' tracktalk is a bit different to 'guy' tracktalk(smack talk:msn-wink:) eh. But thats just the way our brains think differently. But I kind of look at it as "once the helmets go on there is no gender", I reckon it comes down to talent, a clear head, and a little bit of luck, all things I really need to do a shitload of work on, frick it!

I believe its actually pretty unfair when hot chicks race motorbikes as:
1. Hot chicks get everything in life anyway - at least us blokes had `our' motorbike racing as consolation - not anymore, that too has been usurped by hot chicks. Seems nothings safe.
2. Gurlies get all the sponsorship, media attention, and `excessive positive feedback from males' (we used to call it `spading')
3. Chicks really can't lose, and as racing is a `zero-sum' game, it follows that we can't really win - Every bloke beaten is a victory for you, but also a little death for us. A well placed (and admittedly stylish and had to be bought) little stilletto heel to the left nut, so to speak. Ah the sheer joy of deflating males' fragile egos'! Congatulations? Not from me - You're just shooting fish in a barrel, really.
So show some mercy and enough skiting already, OK? Everybody already knows hot chicks rule the world. Really, whatya trying to prove out there??

It's a bit like the young guys in the sport. Don't really hear about the guy that started late since his parents could never afford to get him a bike when he was 3-18, never had everything given to him and worked his way to the top. Or never ended up getting to the top...

lol......I started REAL late. And Im still well in debt after starting out last year buying a Mille1000 to race on. I think that pretty much applies to any one racing male or female.

Hmmm... I shall refrain from saying what I *really* want to say but I need to set you straight....
The point of this thread was that I was talking with a guy who was surprised to hear that chicks race, so naturally when he said that I told him just how good they actually are. I did not say that all girls that race are hot, I referred to the chicks as hot meaning that they were good at what they do and are just as good as they guy's, if not better. I was pissed when I started the thread so I used the word "hot" very liberally.
I dont think that girls are better and I definately dont think that chicks are good cause they are beating the guy's. They are good cause they are dedicated and passionate, just the same as the guy's. I posted this in Biker Angels cause I was trying to give a boost to the girls not to make them "outshine" or whatever you think I was trying to do.
I love the racing scene cause from what ive seen and experienced the chicks are treated no differently from the guy's and its not about chick versus guy etc. But thanks for your opinion, its good to know how people feel.

By the way, anyone that gets out there and races - girls and guys - front or back of the pack - has my admiration. Its not just the risks, sacrifices and handling the highs and lows (none greater than road racing), its putting yourself out there for the judgement of others that takes alot of courage.
So salute, bravo, goodonya, etc.

+1... while it is usually intended for the sole benefit of the racer I still reckon it takes BIG kahunas (with or without) to do it. I had a go/opportunity to race at xmas and just couldn't do it... and if a Woman (not so much testosterone) does it then more (and more) power to her.

We have three ladies racing at bucket racing in Auckland and we all love it.
Avalon Biddle does really well in the National GP125cc series here in NZ.
I'm riding at the Taupo Road Race Spectacular this year in the bucket F5 class and for the first time will have a go on my FZR 250 in the 150streetstock class.
I may not be the fastest on the track, but damn I'm going to have a good time on me bike.
I took the 250 around last year, on the Saturday in the road class, ( they are not having a road class this year) and passed a few big bikes on the corners.
I dont think they were too impressed because I got a few glares as they passed me on the straights. :woohoo:
ps I'm a Granma with three grankids. If I can do it, any ladies who wanna race can have a go.
