Haha...now that you are sucked in. I am in Auckland and need about 50 cubes of gravel for my driveway. Anyone able to recommend somewhere? Anyone able to give me the 'hook ups'? There must be some quarry workers here?
Help would be wunderbar.
Cheers
Brett
PS...help me get a good rate, and there is a box of beer in it for ya.

50 cubic metres? That's a honking big driveway isn't it?

Indeed it is! about 350m2 to be exact. Then I still have to do pathways etc. Too much damn mud at the moment.

That is per litre my friend. I would need 1000 litres to make a cubic metre. The other one is per .32 m3 and I would need crap loads again...cheers though:devil2:

If grit will do - you should be able to gather that much by sweeping the Summit Road here in Christchurch... and you'd be doing us a favour too.

Our neighbour got some gravel off trademe recently - mentioned it was 1/2 the price of the "normally available stuff". Was for their driveway too so it'll be the right stuff.
I'll have a wee ask...

I just asked - they rang around and finally sourced it from Perrys quarry on Bethells Road was the source - I understand they are the cheapest in the region and they use Jelovich ("Yellow Vitsh") transport - but I'm far from certain on the spelling of that.

I'm guessing Guido and Luigi would show up, and I'd spend eternity as part of the driveway being laid...

That is a good point. For only $1000 I will allow anyone to bury someone they have recently murdered under my new driveway:woohoo: Just don't tell me wifey!
