Hi there,

This is probably the rarest question ever!

...but, i can't find it ANYWHERE on google/internet.

On a 2 stroke 250cc bike (TZR250) where do you put the oil in for the injection system?

Lol, i know a bit about smaller 2 strokers but have never before had a 2 stroke road bike/anything with an injector system.

For the 2 strokers out there:

What oil do you guys reccomend with oil injectors? This bike has been running castrol tts which i intend to keep on using as good habit, but i like motul oils.

Whats the best way to flush the injector system etc from oil incase of a change in oil brands?

Does anyone have a TZR250 91 (standard R model) manual?

Anyone here done a rebuild on one of these?

How often do you guys clean your carbs, power valves, oil injector, air filter?

Thanks in advance all.

Most two strokes have the oil tanks under the seat, or behind one of the sidecovers.

There was a thread in the tech section not so long ago about oils, and the mixing of different brands. The main conclusion was that it was the mixing of different types, ie, synthetic and non-synthetic that would cause the most trouble. If you are worried about the mixing, though, you could just run the old oil down to a minimum, then purge, and rebleed the lines with the new oil.

The oil tank is between the frame rail and the fairing on the right hand side of the bike. :)
Any good reputable brand of oil designed for auto injection will be fine.
