Every Thursday night we have a ride. Leaves Wellington Motorcycles at 6-6:15pm, then later on we'll all be at the River bank carpark in lower hutt untill around 8. Then some of us go and play pool at ROQM in High St Lower Hutt.

After that, we've been known to make midnight trips to the summit of the paekak' hill rd 2 hours after it's been opened from slips and flooding.

This is not recomended.

I try and go over once a weekend, especially if I need to blow off some steam.

Turn up at Caltex Rimutaka on a good weather Sunday at 10.30, introduce yourself, and there's bound to be a group willing to let you tag along.

Or pm me and I'll let you know when I'm going over next. I'll show you the legal speed way over the takas if you like.

Just don't try and go over with Jimbo600, Deano, White Trash or Cycosis. They'll just lead you into trouble ;)

If you don't want to waste your time, or come out for nothing, post something on here first, asking who wants to go for a ride. Organise a time, etc...

I have a loose arrangement with a few mates that any fine Sunday we turn up at Caltex Rimutaka on SH2 (north end of Upper Hutt) at 8.30am and head over the hill.

Some Sunday's I'm not there (away at race meetings usually) but I don't need to be there for the ride to happen. We don't tend to ride too fast but it's a very flexible arrangement where we decide where to go and meet up there - those who want to hoon ahead are welcome to do so, those of us who prefer to trundle at a more sedate pace do so also.

Our rides include an obligatory stop at the Flying Fish in Martinborough, at least once.

Anyone is welcome to join us any time they wish (I prob won't be there this Sunday as we'll probably head north after Manfeild).

I'm not really up on where the drinking establishments are in Wgtn but why doesn't someone suggest a suitable place for us to meet on the 28th? Did you mean in the evening Yokai? (perhaps around 6pm onwards?) Note: went to the Dog and Bone in Lambton Quay for lunch yesterday, it had lovely food at a reasonable price (used to be Paris before the fire)

Astoria coffee is horrid! I don't believe I ever had a decent coffee from that establishment yet. I agree with you about the staff though Jim.
