Looks like an olivine python or more likely a water python. I owned a slightly larger female water python for 4 years when living in Queensland, her name was Si........awsome pet!

Crikey!!! Did it ever lie down next to you in bed?

Apparently if they do it means they are measuring you to determine whether they can EAT you yet or not!!

Whenever she was picked up she would place her head sideways on the top of mine, this was her way of measuring up. Once she had worked out I was still to big she would settle and place her head on my left wrist ready for a love.
In order to own a snake in Oz you must own a herpetological licence issued by the state government and belong to a sanctioned society. One of the characters I met had a small red bellied black snake [poisonous] that would great like a dog and curl up in your lap-it was bizzare and a little frightening!

Jeeeeezzzzzz son!!! I just about wet myself

Interesting choice of pet SixPackBack sir. The story about her 'measuring' you made all the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Do snakes like to be petted like you stroke a cat for instance? How do you know they enjoying it...they don't purrr after all...or is it just a case of IF SHE DOESN'T EAT YOU SHE'S HAPPY

She would stick her head up like a cat and settle right down, happy with the attention.......at least I think she liked it, kinda hard to tell with a snake!?
She certainly wanted to get close to our cat. Both our cat and dog where shit scared of her. When she got loose after the drunken party she remained in the house for two months before we found her [inspite of the best efforts of a snake catcher to find her].....the dog and cat slept with me and nowt I could do would get them off the bed, in fact the cat was under the covers!
one of the most interesting episodes while owning her was meeting the 'rat lady' .......but thats another story...

 Rat lady...I can just imagine! Si thinks....ooo look a dine in/takeaway joint hassssss opened up next door.

 Not sure I'd want a pet that regularly checked to see if it was big enough yet to eat me.... They are pretty stunning creatures though. Thanks for sharing :sunny:

I've done a similar video of my own snake, a little longer, and a little messier.

And just as likely to make it within five metres of any woman:dodge:

Check with your wife before making such statements.

You rang?

I've thought about this and can confirm for future reference that your "snake" would be unlikely to make it within five metres of me

Once I had checked and confirmed all those months ago on the TRTNR that you did infact have one I lost interest  Anyway I'm not interested in your snake...it's all about those stubbies and jandals, with those big, long white legs hanging out

Sorry, I meant girlfriend, not wife.

And for the record, your eye's were bulging so much I think the distance got down to about 3 metres.
