Wanna get out for another blast this weekend, where does everyone wanna go?
leave at 10 am from wherever we decide.

As usual we welcome all abilities and speeds,we'll wait at intervals for all the slower riders to catch up and regroup, after all we're all out there to have fun eh? :ride:

ROUTE:
Lookin like Coro loop....I've got a couple of mates keen to go too.
I may be back late fri but lookin at the results of the poll i think i'm safe to say that coro's it.
Meet at the pap autobahn 9.30ish leave at 10 via clevedon>kaiawa>kopu at about 10.45-11ish.We'll go clockwise again so if enough time may go whangamata>waihi>paeroa then back kaiawa>clevedon.
See you all there.

YAY! Cheers FF! i cant believe you forgot :( ive been looking forward to this for ages just counting the days (hehe boring life), Anyways what if everyone rides out to woodhill? you guys could check hte gravel road out for the way in, thatd b wicked! :)

and 6chris6 Update: Use a subaru Justy fuel pump from pick-a-part $18 + $2 entry. Spectrum motorcycles advised they put car ones in all the yammy ones that screwout these days etc and my old mans mate jack said jusy's ones are compact and last forever, otherwise a Civic one or something but they only last 150,000 typically.

Im in Manfeild but thought I would suggest this

22 to Whatawhata down through Pirongia about 10kms further turn left to Kawhia (by the sea), fish and chips then return.

Something different and not much further than Raglan, a interesting road and it might broaded the regular itinerary a bit .

Just a thought

I appreciate that Coro is a great run and I may be in as well (still checking what else is happening) but Raglan may be a better option only because shit loads of traffic will be moving out of the pennisula this weekend as people go back to work Monday. The roads will be really crowded not to mention all the cops. It may pay to look for quieter roads. Just a thought.........

Yeh,thought of this.....But this is the last chance we'll get for a good blast before Draco has to go back to tech, and I'm hoping most will have gone back to work already(the m/ways are f****d again)and I think we've all nearly worn out 22....and the weathers supposed to be good...etc etc..

Great ride today thanks Death for organising it, weather was excellent if anything almost too hot, but after the crap weather that has been around would never complain about that, thankfully not too much traffic out there today once we left Coromandel.
Anyone like to revisit the Hog rider in the T-shirt that past nearly if not all of us, I think he was running a tad late for Manfield.....

I am absolutly knackered now....lol

It was so hot today, that when we stopped some of us were almost melting in the sun... I think that we should have gone for a quick dip in the sea.... it really was that hot.....

I have to say that it was my first time to go to the Coromandel and also Whitiangi.... So doing the complete loop was awesome.....
I ended up doing all up 471km from home - the loop - home again...

I got stung by a bee .... OUCH.... right on my right wrist....
Lou got stung on her neck.... so the bee's were on the warpath today...

I am looking forward to seeing the pic's put up here, from those that took them....

A good day had by all,not too fast so good for those who aren't used to the open road yet.(first time out of aucks for young samson,a workmate of one of my mates)Bugger about the melted seal, was a bit slippery as one of my other mates found out with a bit of an excursion into the water table, kept it on two though. Not too much traffic either.Nice and uneventful(apart from the bees)
Not a lot of kb'ers (4 kb'ers not counting myself and draco),most of the group was my mates, where were you all on such a great day???

Hey have any of you lot got any ideas that I can use on my bee sting...
Its getting really itchy and it hurts.. YES we got the sting out..

I can't take any other meds at the moment, due to a very strong med that I have started taking now for the next week. (health reasons)...
So any maori potions are a go... just anything....to help ease it...

The sting is about one inch down from my carpel tunnel operation scar... on the soft part of the forearm/ wrist. I have some pain up my arm... so the venom is travelling...

And yes the bloody bee died...

Not sure of spelling, but ask at chemist for Kayline/Cayline pultice, looks like mud from Rotoragvas, stinks a bit, but a good way to suck the posion out.

Cold compresses will help with the itchiness. Ice or an chilly bin pack wrapped in a tea-towel works well.

If you think there's any sign of a secondary infection get it checked by a doctor.

Sounds like you had a great ride! Unfortunately we had to go to the Manfield Track Day and it was one of the best riding days I've had. Heaps of fun on the RGV 250 trying to dice with 4 strokes up to 4 times the size. Really well organised . No major offs and no wet tar on the track unlike the ride home thru the Para Para's and Kawhia backroads. Still an awesome ride home but totally knackered after 1300km's. :sunny:

Hey nice to meet you Dave - yeah after you & I went our seperate ways, I headed home over the Kopu Bridge & saw the pack waiting to cross. I went back, met them at Mobil & then went up to Coromandel, had lunch & then headed back home. Had a good ride despite the neck pain. Hope to see you out there again soon. I ride out you way quite often so I am sure we will catch up.

Thanks for your company to Coromandel guys & gals, nice to meet you - good to see you all had an uneventful trip over to Whitianga etc.

Compulsory requirement for owning CBR400 - Concrete Arse!!! :crybaby: Awesome day thanx guys & gals, gee 3 chicks on a kb ride must be a new record for us. :niceone: Gotta love that wet tar, Not! As for your beesting crashe, bee venom is long gone in your system, it's your own immune system makin you itch now, my suggestion is good old fashioned savlon cream, that'll take care of the itching.
