Tyga products - NC30

OK, so I am nearly ready to get started on my NC30 streetbike.

since I sold the seat and subframe off the old girl, and I really dislike the fairing and lights that are on it, I am looking at options. One of the options is stock bits obviously, which I can source off ebay or tardme.

But what I could do is get Tyga stuff. They make kits which have pretty much everything I would need

no indicators I dont think but that might be my reading and is relatively easily fixed.

It looks as if I could maybe get both kits here landed for ~$1800 which isn't too bad. The NC30 its going on has a 17 inch rear wheel and such.

Has anyone imported any of this stuff? Whats the quality like? Did it go together as it should?

I know I'll never get my money back but its a project bike so within reason thats not too much of an issue.

I Use heaps of tyga stuff on my race NC30 (Bodywork ,Rearsets, Disc's, screen) Etc an I've found all of there products to be really good quality .....for the price:niceone:

if your really having a go at it fit a newer 600 tail onto it. New Subfrane and the works. May take some time but will be massivily cheaper and far less generic.

If you want a stock subframe I've got one you can have for $20 + freight

I really dont want to have to faff about making a subframe (read, having a go at making a subframe, screwing it up, having another go, screwing THAT up, ringing my bro in law to come have a look, him saying when he stopped laughing "Boy, you screwed that up good!, and then enduring a year wait while some marvel of fabrication is hand hewn from unobtanium by the elves that live in his garage)

the beauty of this stuff is its plug and play. (well thats what they tout it as).

I dont mind the look, particularly with the front: the RC211 is a pretty bike.

Not forcing anything. Not too fussed since the bike is a mess anyway. Have thought of trying to straighten it myself, learn some skills

TYGA gear rocks, they package it well, send it in two days from Thailand to NZ and have excellent customer service. NZ customs sucks balls and held my kit for 2 weeks while we argued over a $300 customs bill added onto the kit by them!

Only thing thats blows on the TYGA street kits are the absolutely pathetic 25Watt scooter headlamps they use in the RC211v kits. You have to cut off the light bulb mounts and housing, fibreglass or putty in a set of H4 bulb holders from a car headlamp (see a panelbeater for some as the bin any broken lamps and the mounts are always fine AND FREE!) to get a halfway decent beam!

Eclipse Electronics in OZ do a wiring kit that allows the H4 bulbs to run on the bike without dimming, draining the battery OR burning out wiring.

Money well spent for an otherwise great looking fairing set.

And for indicators use the micro stalk LED ones that have just started turning up at the local dealers. Small, semi flexible yet VERY bright and simple to attach. Add an LED specific flasher unit and your away laughing and legal.

what they mean is unless you ask for them, you dont get turn signals, which means you can get turn signals, you just have to ask, they're built into the light kit so i dunno how effective they are or if they're even legal in NZ

the rear doesn't come with turn signals though :( so you'll have to get some stalks.

all I need is a job, an NC35 and I'm away laughing.

that's why i haven't done i yet ;)

I just think the RVF with the tyga fairings is better looking than most newer bikes...

that and the plastics would be a blank canvas.

sure its not a 600, its not a new bike but it'd be cool.

The answer is no. A friend imported a TYGA NC30 (which is a stunning piece of machinery and I am thinking about buying) and it had to have front stalk indicators fitted to get certified in NZ. This was for the version that has the indicators in the headlight assembly. The issue is with the viewable angle. The headlight mounted indicators are only really a "straight on from the front" type of deal.

I have to agree that the NC30 or NC35 with TYGA kit added makes a very nice bike indeed.

I wonder if I could take out the orange lens and wire them up as fog lights with a blue tint?

or even more lightage for the headlight? assuming it doesn't burn out the wire or empty the battery?

what's your mate wanting for his NC30? I don't wanna buy it but want to know how much the resale is going to sting with the added bike condition and the kms i put on whatever i get
