Fitting handle bars?

Simple silly questions Im sure

Okay I have gone and got some sunline bars 7/8 size as trying to fit them i have come across 2 problem's.

1, the hole at ends of bars to small to refit my pretty carbon bar ends. Easily fixed with a die grinder??? or is there something wrong in doing this??

2, the throttle sticks like hell what can I do to fix this? I noticed that the grip slides on the bar but, it wont allow it self to be pulled back . can any one offer some advice??

First glance I thought the title said 'fisting handlebars' - infact it reads 'fitting handel bars'. Sorry as you were :rolleyes:

I wonder if I could get some Bach bars? I reckon a a fugue in D minor would go nicely on the Zed.

Did you got the right size handlebars for your bike....?

If the only problems you have are the bar ends...you can do what you like...
bar ends mainly serve the purpose of not acting like a cookie cutter, not filling up with dirt when falling over, and offering some protection to levers when falling over.
Your handlebars are thicker walled then the stock ones I presume?
You can buy fitting Bar ends, or make your old ones fit......

Your sticking throttle however needs to be fixed...
You say it slides on but not off?....
If you bought the right size handlebars, and want to stick with em....and the throttle does move, but not enough:
See where on the bars it does catch, and start sanding it down untill it does not stick anymore..
Bit of silicon spray or so when fitting it....

Ah I should be alright now, Thansk for the one person who actually gave me some advice lol. and yeh there the right size bar but thicker walled, die grinder it is i think. im not scraping my bar endds they not cheapo ones... Hmm wonder if i can just buy a smaller rubber bit.

Dude bring the bike n bars to me.
possible issues.
1)youve not noticed the locating pin for the throttle assembily.
2) cables are routed wrong.
3)aftermarket bars are cut with a power hacksaw.They often dont have the dags inside cleaned up
then theyre hard chromed that makes em thicker
4)youve put something in round the wrong way
5) the bars are a bit longer than factory--stretching cables to the limit.

Whatever it is --bring it to me I'll sort it
