Well if someone was to ask you "do you want to import a 2009 Six Day KTM 300" would you say yes.
What I'm asking, is there really that much extra on them to justify an extra $1,000.00?
I know they have a clear tank, but that is all. What else?

Wouldn't that be a question for Uncle Lester or one Chris Birch ?.

Different muffler and pipe, not sure but I think they may have different tripple clamps as well.
I didn't see enough changes from the 08 to justify spending the money on the 09.

From what I can understand Ktm have about a 3 year cycle on their models with major changes every 3 and minor till the next revision. So if your happy not to have the latest bike resell after 3 years. Hope I got this right but that's seems to be what I getting.

Yes I tend to agree. I think the graphics kit is the big seller. It's a "look at my kit thing"(stop thinking like that!)
They do have different triple clamps. Does this make me faster though...not.

Yep dead right, but hey if you can afford it then why not, you only live once.

They have a few other bits and pieces like different sprockets, rubber mounted bars, different valving in the forks (worse for most people) perhaps a different chain guard and as mentioned different pipe (one that rusts go figure). I like the clear tank though but if you want to save $1000.00 just get the std model, if you want to save $4000.00 just get an RM250 (thats what my friend with the '05 CR250 is doing right now).:woohoo:

"We wrote on page 44 that Suzuki has ‘discontinued the RM250 2-Stroke"
Heck they and Kiwi Rider have been repeating that misinformation for well over a year now. They read too many of the American magazines that think the world revolves around the US market and simply repeat what they have read without doing any journalistic investigation for themselves. :spanking:

The other big improvement the Six Day bikes have is the optional 18mm offset triple clamps. Well worth paying the extra once you take these into account in my opinion if you must have a new KTM. Just a shame the 200 isn't offered in Six Day option.
