Sports Cafe` - Is it just me or does anyone else hate it?

I always thought the first couple of seasons we kind of funny and entertaining. It seemed unscripted and free flowing but as the seasons went on it got worse and worse.

I see now they have brought it back and i saw an episode last night that i can only describe as like watching a slow motion car wreck...

It's the same old same old, with Rick trying to play the straight guy, mark trying to be the class clown and lana being...well typical lana, stumbling and stuttering though her lines. And as for Graham, whats the point? He's one of the few people i don't know who just makes me want to punch him square in the face!

Marks humour may have been funny once when he was a uni student but now he's just trying too hard. (Does anyone else thing he looks like richard simmons?? haha)

Rick has a face for radio and the personality of a photocopier salesman... The fact he can't speak properly also makes him a poor choice for anchor.

They even had the same old guests on there - how many times can eric rush appear on there? Didn't he last play rugby when moses parted the red sea anyway??

anyway, thats enough of my rant - i think it's just cause i feel like shit since i'm full of a cold. I don't know, it just seems like such a waste of money to keep people like that in a job *lol*

Game of two halves, although a little repetitive, is considerably more entertaining that sports cafe, but I still think Mark trys too hard now. Its like he's constantly trying to live up to his reputation as the 'naughty school boy' but as time slips by it's just harder to stomach.

I was just thinking this before reading your post. Well, in fact I was wondering why they bother interviewing sports people at all. Even the few intelligent ones tend to talk in soundbites, cliches, and end up saying, "I/we need to play hard, and the person/team with them most points will win", or variations on that theme. Even motorcycle racing (the only sport on the box that doesn't (usually) send me into a catatonic state) interviews are largely a waste of time, except when there's some subtext, like Stoner being unhappy with Rossi passing him agressively, but not wanting to look like whinger.
