SHELRACING

For those who don't know, don't find out the hard way.
The footpeg brackets on the FXR 150's are very brittle and will most likely shatter with the first minor off. Being in the know and a smart ass, I made a 3mm steel plate and put one behind each of my brackets.
Low and behold the first chance I get to fall off my right side peg bracket still shatters even with the plate behind it. the plate bent round 90deg bending the frame mount points too. Never mind a few calculated strokes wiv a big hammer straightens out the plate, a couple of decent Zip ties and I finished the days racing.
Now I've got some 19 x 19mm box section steel, going to have a go at blob welding some steel brackets together.
Moral of the story. Don't fall off (yeah right). Make yourself some decent footpeg brackets.....
