I'm getting Warren (Virgin mufflers) to make a can for me, none of the slip-ons or full systems float my boat at the moment and his look really good. He'll anodise it bleck for me, it looks good and will sound horn so why not! He made one for 'Toeball' Biggles08 and it's really impressive, it just doesn't have Akrapovic or Sato written on the thing.
The Racefit Growler looks pretty good though, so maybe in a few months time...

Arse! Yeh probably, something about being an old coont is the testosterone just aint there anymore. I used to be a nasty fuck when I played cricket, would bowl to take peoples heads off and I quit when I couldn't get fired up anymore.
But more of that talk though sonny, and we'll see who goes around who at turn 8 (shivers quietly...)!

Picked it up this morning, crap weather meant no chance to go for a decent spin but it feels very good, pretty good in the lower revs (up to 8K or so) - builds nicely up to there and I can tell it's just wanting to pick its skirt up and go.
It's easy to change direction on, feels like the '05 in that I'm sitting on the bike rather than in it, unlike the '06/07. The finishing is also much better than the 1st gen, no velcro anywhere (that I've seen anyway) and the bike is looking better and better.
Throttle control is much improved over my '05, there's no twitchiness or hesitancy when applying small throttle changes (only while running in of course, he he), and it has a much more sophisticated drivetrain.
Riding position is surprisingly sportier than my old bike, there's about the same amount of weight on the bars (shitloads with me!) but me old pins are bent a bit more - pegs area touch higher (and they are a vast improvement being mush grippier than the old ones). The bars seem slightly wider, and the previously considered pointless screen actually works effectively well, deflecting a lot of the oncoming wind on to my helmet and away from my brutish chest. Nice!
It's not as raw as the '05. We'll change that in due course...
I think I'm in love

I thought the '07 ZX-10 was the most perfect fitting bike for me..... until I sat on the '08 in Mt Eden MC while waiting on the paperwork for my 08 ER6. With just 5 minutes sitting on it stationary I can't imagine how much fun you are having, and for that, I hate you! :crybaby:
Seriously though, nice bike, screw the 'cross eyed' head lights, the bike is sex on wheels... I am even quite fond of the stock exhaust, definitely one of the better ones of late. I just couldn't get over the fact that a bike that, basically, is a track bike was more comfortable to sit on than the ZX14 or Concours next to it (goes for the 07 as well).
Again, hate, etc :D

To be honest Maha it took me a while to get used to the look of the bike, but now I'm hooked on it :woohoo:
Of course, the mind bending acceleration and effortless handling are to be expected; It's a Ninja after all:wari:

Hey Wozza, I'll get rid of the Russell Hobbs next week I reckon - just do the 1000k run-in and then I'll be around to apply your finishing touch.
Apparently there is an exhaust butterfly valve thingy that has to come out as well, have a look at it when I pop over.
Sweet!

Oh shit yeah, got the 10 back 2nite and she sounds like a muthafarkin hound from hell! I'm a bit worried it is too loud for the road, but Warren can make me a dB killer insert that'll drop the old decibel count. Sounds sweet tho, tomorrow before leaving for Taupo I'll chuck a DNA filter in. Pity there isn't enough time to dyno my baby, but rest assured; she's a quick Ninja this one boys (pity about the rider eh)
