HMM that their engine needs a little work, and with a little elbow grease she'll be right as rain.:lol:

Seriously I think the metal has returned back to it's natural state i.e. metal oxide.

I'd suggest a little more digging might just uncover the rider.

BSA unknown 1929

Style: Classic & vintage
Make: BSA
Model: unknown
Engine size: 250cc
Kilometres: less than 1000km
Year: 1929

Vintage bike uncovered in vege patch excavation.

Experts undecided on specific make and model, but it is definately British. Probably a BSA but could be an Ivory Calthorpe, AJS, Norton...

Age estimated to be 1929-1932.

The wheels, motor, rider and a few bits and pieces are missing, so strictly as is where is.

A true winter project.

Good luck.

$26 at the moment

Are there any parts that are actually there?

What price do they want?

It is a $1 no reserve auction.

Which makes it nice to see an affordable 250cc bike listed on trademe for a change.

Not if they have left it outside during this 'balmy' weather we have been having.

Vintage bike uncovered in vege patch.

Must have been one hell of an over grown vege patch to hide that for all those years and no one ever came across it.
Wonder if there was some sorta story to how it got buried there its not like you just miss place an almost complete bike in ya garden (or do you??)
