just bought a 1988 Honda VFR400R NC24 16,500km, 1 NZ owner scince 1993, he has only done like 10,000 of those K's, gave me WOF's scince he bought it, and reciepts. its fucking MINT! has to be the best example in NZ.. i have never ridin a bike so fucknig new/low k's that felt so good.

WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME WHAT I WAS MISSING OUT ON?!

im fucking sold, this aint gunna be sold, it is just perfect. you open the throttle... it goes, you let go, slap it snapps back and bike decelerates fast but smooth. clutch is smooth yet grips when u need it, whole bike is just perfect, ive never felt such smoothness, and this is after the dude telling me its been sitting with 6 month old gas and carbs need a little tune! fuck i sjust used up old gas,put fresh 96 in and it made a BIG diff, and feels smooth to me! jesus christ.  Tyres were new back in 1998 but have only seen like 1,000kms. only bad points to most ppl are 16" front rim, 18"rear, and Crossply tyres, currently with MEZ22's on...

ive missed out on too much in life already thinking my bikes look nasty but ride well... hell was i ever wrong.  please just turn back time! aww i just wanna ride it all day, so im outta here, its 7pm and that wont stop me! mummys house  = next stop.

oh and everything has been done genuine honda styles and everything is factory on it.. CONSIDERING making a homemade can for it to get that great V4 sound outta her... just dont wanna fuck her p/jetting wise etc. shes so great std!  ohhhhhh i love it, everytime i sit on it and just think of pressing that start button i nearly loose my load

this is it man! ive found true love! this is what bikes are all about.. now why the fuck am i typing? call me dumb, i wont hurt you.

LATERS! -ridetime.

Nice one - motors are as strong as NC30's, just a bit heavier/older - but that shouldnt be any worry. You could prob put in a NC30 front wheel/end if you want,

Just dont fuck it ....oops...of course...there'll be heaps of KB'ers keeping tabs on you.

What colour - like this?

Hey Logan - just remember NOT to take this one apart......

So you now have two RVF's and neither has been taken to the track??

Hmmmmm - your excuse for this one??? 'oh it is my road bike - i don't want to crash it??'

Good on ya anyway - glad you finally bought a decent bike to ride.

how long KK? (before you find you have cornered it in the garage, hammer in one hand and screwdriver in the other with a menacing look on Your face and dreams of the SBK podium.) (j/k)
congrats on the nice bike, life is great when you have a good bike.
enjoy:niceone:

yes SP man, but its white where that one is black, and must b slightly diff red/blue stripes as the back seat is red colour to go with back piece.

no no no, you KB'ers dont understand.. or maybe the point is that you do.  I HAVE FINALLY FOUND a bike i TOTALLY LOVE! i cant find ONE FAULT in it apart from the crossply tyres and 16" rim.. if it had 2x 17"s like modern VFR's etc then it would be better.. but oh well, thats life.  bloody mint tho. i honestly cant believe bikes can b like this.. its got perfect power curve from 4-14,000, well only taken it to 12,000 so far... the whole bike was cleaned perfetly, not a seep of oil anywhere, even the inside of fairings = clean as! not one bit of road grime.

i fucking cant believe it, i will never regret this day. i will never think "oh fuck im a dick i just spent like 3x what i usually spend on bikes" now i know what its all about.. i used to always buy dungas that needed repairs and do them myself.. but fucking hell now i know why you guys pay people! because they are good at it!

sweet leaping jesus, now i only wish i was a good enough rider to use the bike to the max.  But i will be doing all maintanence on it myself, but dont b scared, on a bike this mint all that means is oil changes, fork oil, brakes, and general cleanlyness, so long as i dont bin it i cant go wrong.

but the other reason i got this bike.. as much as i dont want to hurt her/let her on the track, i bought this bike for my father.. so he can ride it on the track and coach me on my RVF, god knows he will prolly still run rings around me... for i am the stoopid sorry reason he had to give up racing and has not touched the track scince a few years after i was born. so here ya go old fullah! this ones for you!

hope he enjoys coaching me and just blatting around for fun without expectation as much as i will enjoy his company on a lone Puke Open day. ill even pay for him etc etc. he just has to turn up and remember what he gave away for blimmin kids! hah what a waste of time in hiensite eh! :p

tried to ring ur cellfone twice on sunday to let you know i was gettin a bike :)

no answer :( didnt wanna leave a msg coz a) cant get cellfone signal if  ileft celly number in hospital. b) they scare me. c) i hate it when ppl leave me voice msgs as it costs me to rcv.

hehe :) but all good, we shall ride somtimes.

only problem/thing i will change is the big red light RIGHT beside the big red oil light with "SPEED" written below it.. comes on whenever i go over 86kmph.

and im like? oh fuck! that must mean i gotta gun it! but no matter how hard i gun it it wont go out till i get back below 86kmph... maybe im just not quite good enuf to satisfy its high expectations :niceone:

but this bike =   ive got life sorted.. got the bike... got the jobs/money, just gotta get the girl. finally i think ive almost got hte time etc for one :)

KK, just remember that a girl will cost you more money than any bike you have ever owned!

oh, thanks alot dude.. ffs :(

reminded me.. just as i was convincing myself... Killjoy, haha, but you are right, feck, but in a way you aint, they cost more time then anything.  Im a cheap ass dude as you all know :) so the wallet aint too bad, and you know the whole what i say isnt what i mean syndrome? of like "oh no, ill pay for myself, dont you pay!" well the trick is, let them pay! HAHAHAHA! and pledge ignorence! :p HAHAHAHAHA! oh its so good :) and they dont cost much if you dont stick with em for very long :) btw the other tip is to find out when their bday is, if it aint for over 6 mnths, dont worry! hahaha, if its coming up, just hold things off for a while :p hahahahah! works out economic :) didnt fail me

SPMan you are becomming slower in your old age... I have already visited every VFR site everin last few months, esp that blue RVF :) but thanks anyway, havnt looked into the NC24 that much.

i also belong to the 400greybike.co.nz forums and use the VFR/RVF forums a fair bit... VERY helpful, dead seriously those NC30's seem all the rage over their, yet they dont think much of the NC24.. oh well, their loss, it has the oldskool philips head tapet clearence adjusters like my CB250rS! yay! god shims just make life harder/make you not want to do the job, esp underbucket shims.

What?
