Well, I've finally upgraded from the GN250. :woohoo::woohoo:I won the auction on trademe for a Yamaha XJ600S 93 model. I've heard it is kinda boring but it is ultra reliable, good on fuel . I need it for commutting and the occasional weekend blast with the missus on the back sometimes and hopefully it will tick all the boxes.Anybody out there own one.I was beginning to feel to limited on the GN,going out for group rides sucked as I could'nt keep up on the straights and motorway overtaking was dodgy.Looking forward to picking it up this weekend.:woohoo:

Thanks for the vote of confidence.Silly me haven't even ridden it yet,but riding position is more similiar to the GN than the sportsbikes.

I have never really been that interested in Yamahas to be honest but the Fazer 600 that OWNER and I bought for our Europe trip has served us well. As a pillion it is pretty comfortable and believe me it goes like the preverbial. It is good for long distances (1000k in one day) but doesn't seem to mind pootling round town.
Hopefully you will have a similar positive experience with your new bike. Happy riding.

True, you never stop learning which I guess is part of the attraction of riding( the constant challenge to be better).

If everyone was honest they'd admit that they never stop learning :msn-wink:
