Don't you just think that life is cruel sometime, there are so many women that would look hot on a bike and do it justice that can't afford one and then there is that woman!!! And then again there are so many grown men that would look good and do it justice too. What is the top speed it can reach with her on it do we think?

+1 :sunny: I feel the need to be a bit cautious as I am conscious that as we go through life some of us ladies fluctuate in 'stature'. I was once almost half that fat (as a porky depressed teenager) and it is not a nice place to be. Thankfully I haven't been even half that size again since - well actually maybe when I was nine months pregnant but that's to be expected...thank god for breastfeeding! Best diet out...hmmm must look into registering as a whet nurse  For me riding helps me to remain motivated to make good choices - I wouldn't want to bust outta me riding gears that's for sure and I can't afford to buy new ones either

Illness aside (and yes, there are cases where people can't stop eating, I know about that), I don't care if it brings you down that you're twenty sizes too big if all that's getting between your fat ass and a drop in waist size is your inability to exercise...

It's not about fat/thin/ugly/beautiful/warty arse etc, for me it's about people judging others for how they look and not for the kind of person they are.
It's very sad that you're obviously a bit bitter about being abused publicly by a large person, but does making fun of people you don't know purely because of how they look really make you any better than the people who said something nasty to you?

Like this one...REPOST I KNOW... where do ya think I got it from...
And I have been told off at New World for not being "sensitive to, handicapped" ???? people. This was by a woman who was just as large, who had already eaten half a kingsize block of chocolate BEFORE she got TO the checkout counter. This was all because I had to pee and wouldn't let her push in in front of me
And those that pose on a motorcycle with high heels, usually have no intention of riding, and don't always, actually ride. I have photos of friends on my bike, with all the gear on... but have never ridden a bike. Don't assume they have...

I had three people come up to me and my fiance in a department store and tell me how I disgusted them for being so skinny. They swore that I was anorexic and they had a go at me for not eating. I have had friends parents have a go at me for being anorexic until they saw how much I ate.
But the worst one ever was showing some visitors round the European Parliament and one of the bitches having a go at me for being so skinny and not eating etc etc. If I had known at the time that she was not a constituent of the Member of the Parliament and had not been as professional as I was I would have told the rude, fat cow exactly what I thought of her!!

In the big bad adult world there are a lot of people who will come and insult others and try to put them down physically, socially or professionally. Regardless of whether the person they target is at fault or not, it's just how it is.
As long as one has enough self-esteem to know who they are as a person who cares what people have to say? Fuck em all.

People are a product of their experiences whether for better or worse. Maybe some of us have just had or have a few too few skins and have now decided to say fuck em.
What worries me is others concerns about people voicing thier opinion. Unless someone is inciting others to hate particular individuals or groups of individuals I believe in freedom of speech and thought. If we let the p.c. bridge have thier way we will end up with no literature, comedy etc and look what has already happened with nursery rhymes. This is really a shock to me as my experience of actual *fat* people is that their size generally means they are the LAST one to cast stones at anyone else especially publicly about the way they look...unless provoked that is....sounds as though you've had the misfortune of coming across some VERY VERY angry fat people.

I don't condone violence so would never slap someone. And to be honest I was way to shocked and upset to do anything, even defend myself. Even the fiance was really shocked and asked if it was an unusual occerence as he couldn't believe that people could feel they had the right to do such a thing. And no they were fat.
I have never had a go at a fat person in my life and would NEVER EVER go and abuse them in public. I know how completely humiliated I felt and wouldn't want to do that to someone in front of other shoppers etc.
As for the genes, it is only now that I am slightly older and have filled out a bit that I appreciate my genes a little more, especially now that I can wear adult clothes. It suck having to buy your clothes in a kids store or not being able to find clothes for work without having to pay to have them altered.
Look at how the media helps to fuel the issue of slim women, you can only be a size 2 or whatever you guys have over there, if you don't eat or purge.
And yes I would survive a food shortage as I could run the shops faster than other to get the last food (:nono::lol: un pc strikes once again)

However... 100kg ball bags and 0.2gram brains may have held some wieght in the decision.

[QUOTE=Number One;1682462]School? Doesn't everyone get picked on for *something/anything/everything* at school?
I got picked on for being a bully! I was bigger than most gurls .. (I wasnt fat then but I am now .. don't be hating on me people) I was athletic (gawd those were the days) I hung around with 'da maoris' so I was immediately targeted as a bully ..
Even when I wrapped up a couple of gurls (yup my anger boiled over the cooking pot and I gave them the 'whats up buttacups') who gave me shit week after week calling me nigger! (Im Maori & Irish and was whiter than them! hahahaha its just when I opened my mouth I sounded like a real Maori lol) ... I got suspended (a couple of times) high school sucked lollipops for me (when I was there) and girls can be sooooooooo mean, bitchy hormonal bloody things .. funny eh .. I wasnt a bully at all .. but in that environment I ended up being one :weep:
Important thing is I am definitely not a violent person now! but can certainly hold my own :bleh:
Im so glad they didnt see my 11 toes! Ohh but I was sooo good at maths! :innocent:

Wow!!! Judge not least you be judged yourself..... What a load of codswallop on this thread!
FWIW - No one in their right mind would ever have called me slim - in my 'heyday' I was always more of an hourgalss - but as I have 'matured' I have definitely got a hell of a lot more padding. Add that, added to the difficulties in walking since last year and - well.... I am sure you have got the picture.
I don't give a rats arse what you guys and gals think about that - and the fact that I still ride (when I can) - and that my tank is a good resting place for my boobs!! I like riding and if my weight causes you issues and you don't want to ride with me because of it, then that is YOUR problem. I have had a very eventful and interesting life and there is a hell of a lot more to me than whatever my current weight is!!! (Same could be said if a miracle happened and I woke up a size 2 ...... well I did say it would be a miracle ..:whistle:)
Fat, short, tall, skinny, curvy whatever we are for whatever reason, that is what we present to the world - the way we dress, the way we do our hair is the same - not EVERYone has the self confidence to be able to afford to be careless about others cutting and sarcastic remarks. Everyone is a critic these days. Some of you call it the right to be non PC and the right of your freedom of speech to say what you like? I don't think so.
I call it thoughtlessness, a lack of manners, a lack of respect for others and just damned overall rude actually, regardless of whether the target is (too) large - or (too) small.

Admittedly I hadn't read the whole thread.
And you are judging me, hun.
Yes and no.
I was judging, yes, but I'm not judging you as a person. For all I know we'd probably get on quite well (especially considering our shared view on PC crap). My comment was in reference to you apparently making comments about someone's personality based solely on their physical appearance (which it seems you weren't). So, I was judging your attitude on a particular subject that I perceived as narrow minded, not your entire personality.
I think this is part of the problem with the PC crap and why it invades out lives. People take things too personally (not that I'm saying you did).

Genetics play a role in setting your metabolism. If it's fast you can get away with very little exercise. On the other hand if it's very slow you may only be eating enough to keep your body going but no amount of exercise is going to stop fat forming.

If some continue to ride without "appropriate" safety gear, injury rates will increase, and then the law makers get into the act. They then, after "consulting" with profesional advisers, will TELL us what we will wear. With no choice in the matter.
Red and pink may save a little "rash"... very little though...

So because you think it's inevitable that we will loose the freedom to wear what we like and take our chances you insist on acting like we already don't have that freedom?
Besides, "appropriate" is a relative term. In the 50s what they're wearing was considered appropriate.

Perhaps freedom to wear what you want, should come with a price (catch). NO ACC cover if "appropiate" safety gear was not worn, should an accident occur...The bill for all medical expenses for your treatment, paid for by you, or your family.
COMPULSORY medical insurance might be a good idea.

I concur. Why should sensible (boring or whatever you want to call us) people who take the proper precautions and wear appropriate/safe gear have to pay increased insurance costs due to the muppets that don't.
Yes give people the freedom of choice to do what but also place the responsibility of thier actions upon them and not everyone else. Stop nannying these people and make them realise the consequences of thier actions.

Yes the double whammy, you have to be slim but then when you are slim you are ill and by nature of your slimness being a bad role model for young girls. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Young girls and calories really frightens me, the thought of young girls having their heads and bodies messed with for the sake of fashion etc is disgusting. I know people talk about self-esteem but I can understand the long-term damage to peoples mental health as a result of body image and the pressure that comes from all areas about how you look.

Yippy doodle, also on how efficient your system is at extracting the nutrients from what you eat, some people ( like me ) can digest most of the stuff in the food ( gobble gobble ) and can run on not much food ( not that that stops me from eating a fair swag ) and some people crap lots of it out without it being absorbed, and so can eat loads and not gain weight ( bastards :) )

This whole fat/thin thing has changed over the years, what was considered a healthy weight years ago is now considered fat...For example look at one of the most iconic glamour models that the world has ever seen. I am talking about none other than Marilyn Monroe. She is still today one of the worlds most recognisable faces. Her status as one of the world's sexiest women cannot be argued although by todays standards her vital statistics ofv 35-22-35 would make her a fatty.
My wife suffers from PCOS, and I am sure some women on this site would at least know what that is, and as such she finds it terribly hard to control her weight, and some of the drugs she uses actually promote weight gain. It is a constant battle for her to lose weight. Alas some of the world sees fat people as lazy slobs, and as far as my wife is concerned nothing could be further from the truth...Just as well I like my women a little on the chubby side...
Queen had it right...Fat bottomed girls certainly make my rockin world go round!
Are you gonna take me home tonight
Ah down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin world go round
Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me
Hey hey!

I wouldn't class Marilyn as fat for having a 22" waist I would say she has an hour galss figure and curves.
I think it is great you love your woman and no not all 'fat' people should be labelled as lazy. But then again it is easy to lump everyone in a category together; fat, thin, gay, black etc.

Lets totally wrap ourselves up in cotton wool and ban motorcycles and anything dangerous all together? The concept of "appropriate safety gear, should an accident occur", is utter bollocks. What is appropriate for a low speed low side coming out of a multi-storied parking building verus a high speed MX crash clearly demonstrates that. Compulsory medical insurance you say? Yea we all pay it and its called ACC, as for the concept of no ACC cover, I'll bend my crippled arse over and you can kiss that too. Sometimes it does not matter how much, or how little you wear. Its the sudden stop that gets that rider in the end.

I only saw a picture of freedom, freedom to do their own thing, be who they want, ride what they want, wear what they want!
Freedom to make their own decisions not being "told" what to do by some wanker PC politician.
Not the decisions that I would want to make but at least it is their own, you don't get that here, you are ordered what someone else decides for you! :headbang:
I wear safety equipment because "I" want to wear it! :shifty:

Did not take much of an effort with google, cant understand why my picture got the hit though (see pic 1, Im much smaller now and my taste is motomarsickles is much, much, muuuuuuuuch better), I only searched fat + bastard + motorcycle.
Dunno how the last one got the hit either, I feel traumatised and I doubt if I will sleep tonight at all.
at least the 1st pic is wearing appropriate attire, and the last could be considered appropriate, It would depend on wot he is viewing online
Funny how this thread was started apparently for the lack of appropriate safety gear, but everyone locks on to the fact the there is a "bigger" chick riding a bike ..
No but there are a few men making disparaging remarks about larger women and the women who seem to take offense to women commenting on other women leave the men completely alone, strange that!! Looks like double standars to me. Oh god back to different standards again.
hmm only because you feel the need to defend yourself, and have to reply to every comment.
However from the remarks made by others I stated at least I know who I would obviously not be welcome to go riding with, since they are so judgmental. But quite frankly I do not give a damn on what others think, I will still get out there & ride, cause I love it.
Not everyone can be blessed with great genes, but no way could anyone call me lazy.

Sad eh...that's human nature I guess. We are all essentially flawed and it helps some of us feel good about ourselves to have a laugh at anothers expense.
Bikern1mpho - we are commenting on everyonethat has had a easy crack at this lady for her *stature* you just keep engaging specifically so now you think it's all only about the fact that the little skinny girl is getting a hard time...
SINCE You seem so determined to make it about you though....let me focus for a moment...you seem to be doing a lot of back tracking after saying this (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=1681613&postcount=27) and this (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=1681613&postcount=27) earlier.....btw those aren't what I would defend as opinions...those are both just having a bitchy little dig for a laugh...so then it must be fine in your world to have a go at others about the way they look after all.
You really are a hard one to figure missy..it's as if you just agree with whoever comes along next...unless it's of course it happens to be a chick....just an observation

Ok I looked at the piccy again! :weep: none of them are cool because none of them are wearing any type of protection! I think a huge part of the sexiness of riding is wearing the motorcycle gears (for men & women), two birds with one stone thing here, protection AND sexiness .. I think I am getting excited just thinking about it lol .. ... Most NZ motorcyclist I have seen on the roads are pretty responsible & gear up, I have only ever come across one situation where a guy was in town riding his motorcycle in shorts and jandlas! He did have a helmet on but Id hate to think the amount of skin he would leave on the road in the event he fell off!
As for the fatty/skinny thing .. the physical form is always changing .. so many factors contribute to this - age/lifestyle/emotions/hormones/sickness/gender/children/drugs/grief .. the list goes on ..... In all respect though BN .. I have never come across a skinny person recieving flak because they are skinny! The only situations I know of where a skinny person has been abused would be because of thier lack of consideration for others, selfishness & byist points of views. If your experience of abuse was unwarranted then I am sorry to hear of your expriences .. no one should be subjected to any form of abuse as equally as we should accept people for where they are at for that moment.
:motu: Right .. Im going to eat my chocolate now & no .. none of you lot are having any and yes I wil enjoy it & then Ill go for a walk.. and if you don't like it .. then up your date!

& that is the crux of the matter really, I have always thought here but for the grace of god.
While at college we had a mentally challenged guy who used to bike around the school, he was as sharp as a tack even though he drooled & could not talk, yet everyone respected him & he was "normal" til a car accident rended him to a life of sharp mind trapped in a distorted body.
Great to have that experience while young, cause you learn to appreciate ppl the way they are, you never know what tomorrow might bring & you could be challenged in that manner.
Unfortunately too many ppl are brought up to regard body size/shape as the most important thing rather than the personality/ability of the individual. Those are the ppl who are shallow & in my experience not ppl I can be bothered with.

I keep forgetting you are training to be a psychologist BN...that might explain the dual personality stuff I see in many of your posts. Playing both sides of arguments does provoke interesting comments though doesn't it .
Hard for me to imagine someone training to be a psychologist being quite so wedded to the judgemental 'opinions and comments' you've stated in various points throughout this thread...if you were wedded to those thoughts I'd be concerned for all those really damaged people out there that you might be hoping to *help* in the future.

Not defensive just like to look at the facts. I like a good BALANCED debate and maybe I like to defend the slim people out there as there seems to be more than enough peeps to defend the larger person.
And no this isn't fodder for uni work although I am researching young adult female offenders. Who knows maybe abuse from fat people may have interacted with thier criminogenic needs to lead them to where they currently are- in prison.
As for 'dual personality', sorry no disgnoses of an personality disorder. But I spent all of my working life in politics so I am well trained in being devils advocate!
And I take each individual person as I find them. Although I may have strong opinions regarding certain groups of individuls and that is my right to have those opinions (maybe if more peeps had opinions and felt strongly about oppression etc then maybe it might be fought against by the masses and certain governments would not be in power), I always get to know individuls of that group on aone-to-one basis.

Although I do work with mentally & phyically disabled people and love it. So I guess maybe when you work with the most disadvantaged of society (and often the nicest and most unconditional) you develop a slightly warped sense of humour and different way of looking at the world (and yes sometimes a very frustrated way). I think that most people that I work with have very twisted sense of humours but are very very kind people and are fantastic at what they do. Maybe if more people had to work with disabled people then some of their shallowness might be removed but then again people would argue this removes individuals freedom not to work with said people.

I don't know if you have resorative justice in NZ but it is when crims come face to face with victims of crime. It seems to work with some crims. On a doco the other week I saw some 'tough' young lads in tears when in such a situation and it really was genuine. It seems to give a face and personality to victims.

Until you deal with a real psychopath then it can be unfairly traumatic for the victim's family. Some violent crims actually get off on the emotional hurt they cause.

I am also well familiar with 'black humour' and have used in my job for many years as a sort of safety valve / defence mechanism, but I don't use to rationalise ignorance or bad manners.
I am sure that the recipient of your frequent diatribes / grandstanding are well able to defend themselves but given your stated intent in regards to your chosen profession here in good ole NZ (we have more than enough borderline personality disorders here!) it certainly gives the rest of us food for thought.:Punk::blink:
