And realise that when he is talking about passing our next neighbouring star that is nearly 5 light years away (that would take 100,000 years to travel to with current spacecraft)... all the other 100 billion stars in our galaxy are spread out with similar distance between each other.

That's only approximate though, isn't it? If you were wanting to build a carport on Alpha Centauri the Resource Management Act would require more specific dimensions, especially for the purposes of adequate drainage.
