Not exactly funny and certainly abrupt. http://deathby1000papercuts.com/2008/03/hostage-negotiations-chinese-style/

Very refreshing Winston001 but it makes me wonder, where you spend your spare time! Cheers John.

That's exactly how to negotiate with the likes of the mongrel mob.

Unnecessary risk for the "negotiator"... A rifle shot from the next building would have sufficed, the way he's sitting in the open!

Then again, China is facing an overpopulation problem... :P

You forget how shortsighted we asians are :oi-grr: Need to be up close and personal so we can have a chance to actually hit the target! (Why'd think martial arts was invented? :msn-wink:)

I remember an article years ago where they just dragged a felon's family in front of him and got them all on their knees and pointed assault rifles at them ... :sweatdrop "I'll see your hostage and raise you your family..."

Zero tolerance is a simple message, isn't it?!

Bravo I say.

The liberal part of me was horrified but the red-neck said - Hey, a kids life is being threatened - where's the problem??

i seen a similar thing when i was in Bangkok last year ... scary as hell, brutal, but totally nessecary!

Guy was wired up on the Thai version of P, holding a kid no more than 6 as a hostage with a big frikken knife to his throat. There was a ring of police around him about 5 meters away, the crowd i was a part of were about 15-20 meters back, being 6 foot tall helped me get a "good" view ... they tried talking him down for about 5 minutes, he got more and more agitated, then out of the blue a cop walks up behind him and shoots him in the head ...

asked my friend if that happened often, all he said was "yeah, but too often they dont get shot til after they have killed the kids" we just went to a bar and got mind numbingly drunk in silence after that :(

personally i think its something that can be put to practice in NZ with the amount of violent child murders we have here :(

Unfortunately probably won't ever happen here. Too many university graduates in government agencies have their careers tied up in "rehabilitating" these dropkicks.

hey no fair ... im a uni graduate .. not sure how given how much time i spent in bars ... but i did graduate :P

I will offer my services of rehabilitation by giving them a guided tour into the middle of fiordland ... ill catch a chopper out, and if they manage to make it out on foot then i think they will be rehabilitated. Saves costs on ammunition that can be better spent getting a good feed of wild pork or venison as well. I can throw in extra challenges like "dodge the flash flood" and "survive the jump over the crevace" if they seem like they are up to it ... for those that dont make it they would make a good feed for the wild pigs in the area :devil2:
