Been a member of KB for a bit, but only recently bought a bike - Yammie TDR 250 1988, with TZR forks & swinger.
It'll be my 5th old skool yammie stroker - nothing else feels right.
Came over to NZ from the UK a year and a half ago. Been driving awesome roads and dreaming of 2 wheels to ride 'em proper - soon to be a reality!
Based in ChCh, so will be hangin out around here. Where's good for meeting other bikers? Where's good for a decent ride? How deadly are NZ roads to two-wheelers, and WTF don't you guys filter/ lane split?
Look forward to joining in what looks like a great biking community here in NZ.

Yes. Yes we do.
Just that Chch is flat and doesn't have any traffic problems... Compared to the big city, that is!
Welcome to the site!

Cheers ears. I head off to Welly on Fri to pick the bike up, then ride it down to its new home over the weekend.
In preparation for its arrival the garage now has light, power, a beer fridge, and a sound system. Beofre last week it was simply a room full of the wife's shit :msn-wink:
Just hope the weather's gonna be better than it is now!
Once she's checked over and sorted, I'll come a-lookin for ya :niceone:

If you want a good longer ride make sure you go to the Greymouth street races Labour Weekend.Leave early and ride over the Lewis Pass then Lower Buller down the Coast Road.(Biker Heaven) to Greymouth.Return trip over Arthur's Pass and if it isn't one of your best days riding ever then it would have to be raining/snowing.

Welcome to the mad house. You don't have to be mad to come here (but it does help).

I went, I paid, I picked up bike, I broke it.
Fuckin' strokers, I have a good mind to :spanking: it's ass.
Normal service resumed once I've bob-the-buildered it.
