Heading out of Palmy this morning in the car, on the way to Otaki (happy happy joy joy), I catch up to a Boulevarde on Pioneer Highway and he/she is pootling happily along in the bicycle lane!

maybe his eyesight was shite and he thought the bicycle painted on the road looked similar to his 300kg cruiser.....

Oh its ok Yod - I wasnt giving you shit cos it was a Boulevard you were commenting on - just the fact that Id rather be on a motorbike in the cycle lane than in a car observing it... The fact I own a Boulevard is just a bonus :)

Ok, if you take a look in the road code, it tells you that motorcycles can ride in any lane, so long as it doesn't say '***** only' so '***** lane' means go for it.
