wow...I'm impressed
I always suspected cloud computing would be the next evolutionary step for computing, but I always thought of it more in terms of word processors and spreadsheet software in your browser with flash or something, or files and images stored online in a big FTP....but not this...
of course the data has got to be massive, think we'll see it before the end of the decade?
edit: btw yeah I know it's pre rendered following the update on the site, but i think you'll find it's still a concept that is being strongly pursued.

I fail to see how this is anything other than Just Another MMORPG (tm).
And people have been hyping 'cloud computing', in the use-your-word-processor-anywhere sense, as the Next Big Thing for... well over a decade (http://www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2008/05/01.html).
"Microsoft literally expect this to be their gigantic platform in the sky which will take over when Windows becomes irrelevant on the desktop. And synchronizing files is supposed to be, like, the equivalent of Microsoft Write on Windows 1.0.
It's Groove, rewritten from scratch, one more time. Ray Ozzie just can't stop rewriting this damn app, again and again and again, and taking 5-7 years each time.
And the fact that customers never asked for this feature and none of the earlier versions really took off as huge platforms doesn't stop him."

doesnt have quest, health, mana, spells, swords, staffs, wizzards, various fantasy races....its not an mmorpg its a 3d representation of bebo or face book, e-mail or msn.
its similar to sonys playstation home, the closest thing this relates to is second life, but it blows second lifes graphics and features out of the water, it's also easily accessable from your browser.
yeah i know the word processor cloud computing has been around for years, i rememeber reading about it in high school, but I (and this is me personally) havent thought of it in the sense of 3d simulation before, but because im fucking awesome I'd expect no one else to have thought of it that way too :P
but none of that matters as the posted video is obviously a representation or at best pre rendered mock up (3 years pre rendered)
