I work in a residential home for intellectually disabled adults and one of the residents is obsessing on our rather attractive receptionist. One of the behaviours that has become evident is him rubbing up against her car ... in effect ... humping it which nauturally is quite upsetting for her. We've tried a few strategies but he keeps returning for more.
What I've thought is that a decent fright and the thought that it'll always happen might be effective so I'm wondering if there's a cheap alarm on the market that will detect when the car is being rocked and then scream accordingly. I'm thinking of something set up with something like a mercury switch. It'll need to be cheap and only needs to scream when moved. No other bells or whistles required. Preferably to run off it's own battery too, not the car as this only needs to be a short term solution and the ability to move it around easliy would be good.
Any ideas?
Possibly it is something that can be made up out of kit parts from Dick Smith. Battery, switch, siren and a bit of wiring.

How about an airhorn under the car and some how activating it, or someone under the car waiting for him, I'm sure you know roughly when he goes there

Hide in the bushes with dual Airhorns.

Got a Ford 'T' coil here that would do the trick , not too sure how you'd wire it up to a modern car without frying something, but it gives off a belt better than a mains powered electric fence :devil2: one shock is all that'd be needed :innocent:

Nah seriously though just borrow a bike alarmed disc lock (like a xena brand) and place it on the car somewhere out of sight, good ones are pretty damn sensitive and make a decent noise when triggered

I need a picture/phone number of the victim before I can offer advice.

LOL, yep I got my car stolen years ago. Decided to fight back.

Wired a conventional car coil so that it powered up a wire that dragged on the ground, instead of a plug. Used an indicator flasher unit and relay for points.

This livened the entire car body at spark-plug voltage ~ 35,000 volts.

Car never got stolen again.

Never got a parking ticket either, come to think of it.

The idea appeals but his parents might not see the funny side.

A Xena did occur to me. Just not sure if it is sensitive enough. For $79 (I think) it is an option.

My mate has one he brought back from the UK that he uses on his bike and it's farkin sensitive  dunno what the brand is but it's a disc lock & you only need to move the handle bars and all hell breaks loose
