My good lady wife, our 2 year old, and I are hoping to hit the Isle of Man October ish... and would love to know about accommodation. Doesn't need to be 5 star, just somewhere we can get to from the airport and or Ferry... and somewhere close to a car hire place.

How long does it take to see the whole Isle (and not at race speed Shaun...)

Are there any KBers over that way?

Ta!
MDU over and under

Can you still camp on the golf course? Just don't pitch your tent next to the guy with the 750 Commando with no mufflers! You'll find out why at 4 in the morning!

Hello there,

My Aunty and Uncle own a B+B in Onchan (about 15 minute walk to the T.T. Grandstand)
I'll send you my Uncles email address in a PM and you can take it from there.

Ten minutes from the Sea Terminal and I shouldn't imagine they would be busy in October, not to sure with arrangements for a toddler though, thats something you would have to check out.

I'll PM you tomorrow (I have to go home and dig out his address)

Cheers.

Brilliant - cheers! By co-incidence I personally have ancestry/links to Onchan so that's on my "must see" list.

I can't go to the Isle of Man. They still haven't reppealed the law that allows people to kill Scotsmen. :(

Ha!

I'd forgotton about that........if a Scot's man lands on an Isle of Man shore, on New Years day, your allowed to kill him with a bow and arrow?

That one?

They stopped doing that in 1989 I think....
