After how many hours should you repack your muffler?

I just repacked mine in the weekend with the same sort of stuff but seems to be a bit quieter but hard to tell, need someone to follow me to really find out. How much of the bag did you use and how tight did ya pack it down?

My manual says when it gets louder or down on power. Around 30-40hrs on a 4stroke.

Had this before. The noise may settle down as the packing settles in. Sometimes the packing is a bit tight when it's done but wil bed in. I know my 400 got louder when I repacked it once but this came right after a couple of rides.

it seems alot louder

Just what we need, louder 4T's :spanking:
I must admit though man, I repacked my old CR250 and it wasn't any quieter (it had a pro circuit shorty and was too loud for my liking)
My new CR250 has an FMF shorty and sounds mint though!

Yeah I used about the same amount of the bag. Wierd, you would think it would be quieter. Mine had a mesh insert that I left in and packed around it but as I said need someone to be riding behind me to tell if it really is quieter. Maybe they just need to settle in. My first 4stroke so not sure.
