all the good stuff is on prime these days and having no UHF aerial means I missing out.

Thinking with SKY and freetv and all sorts of deals coming out there must be someone out there who has ended up with a redundant UHF aerial on their roof.

So who wants to sell one off cheap (really cheap cause I really poor) just so I can watch prime.

anyone?

Shit have an old small one in my shed 160km away doh.Mind you was a bit rusty.

Give sky a call, they can chuck a satelite dish up and for $19mth that gives you free to air channels. And with bloody freeview you can't get Prime,so sky is ideal that way.

Have a diplexer spare though if you get an aerial.

pretty sure freeview is a satellite service so you need a dish as well as the receiver box. Also be careful of the cheap boxes cause they are single channel , as opposed to the more expensive mutilchannel ones which mean you can record one channel while watching another which you can't do with the single channel ones.

already got a dish on the roof which I am not using. I am definitely not paying a monthly fee to watch tv. Went into dick smoths today and can get an aerial for $89 so will probably do that if a solution doesnt show up beforehand.

Oh yeah. Freeview doesnt broadcast prime either. Plus the whole single channel decoders is a crock.

oh well if you just want UHF just make one, piss easy you can get the wavelength off the net and cut one out of alloy at the right proportion of the wave size and wire it up. if you don't want to spend $80 that is. Or "find" one on someones roof

Yep satelite is good if reception is crappy, unless rain fade kicks in.

Can you get the uhf/vhf combos here?Gizmo type brand, only need to hook it up without mucking round with diplexers, extra cable from each aerial.

Try the Palmy tender centre, thought they had a couple last week, not sure cost though or condition.

I really want a combo aerial. I doubt I can make one for <$80 it would take to buy one ready made. Kinda hoping (thinking) that there must be some sitting on roofs not doing anything.

Yes you can get UHF/VHF aerials with diplexers from DSE. Thats probably the route I will take.

Oh and it will be a cold day in hell before anyone gets a deal from the tender centre. Never seen a building with so much shit in one place.

Tender centre is good for somethings shite for others,we were looking for a small wall unit preferably pine or rimu, not meltica, guy had sign saying solid rimu, was solid in parts, the carcass, but shelves, doors were rimu laminate(although timber laminate),half the unit was chipboard.

If your after an aerial try an outlet like Cory's,or an electrical outlet which sells to trade and public, can be cheaper than dick smiths or similar.
