I feel for the guy, and bet that he rues the day he got involved with 'that woman'.
Whether he did or didn't do BadThings to her, they came to an arrangement to settle the matter and she has reneged on her part.

I didn't think she had said anything before it came out. I could be wrong.
Idol worship, never from me - they're just people. Some lucky, some talented. TV is full of talentless ones.

She hadn't, and she kept her mouth shut for quite awhile too. I suspect the 50 and/or anti domestic violence groups may have pressured her into making a complaint.
While part of me wants to feel sorry for Mr Veitch having forked over 150k in hush money and thinking he'd gotten away with it until now, I find it very hard to feel sorry for anyone who beats a woman to the ground, then kicks her repeatedly hard enough to break her back in 4 places. I hope he goes to jail, I really do.

I have little doubt that the Dunne-Powell woman is a manipulative bitch and that Mr Veitch is an egotistical cunt with no self-control.
And I utterly fail to see why I should give a fuck about either of them.
I suppose we can really just be thankful that nothing truly awful is happening to fill the headlines, and that this pap is all there is to skim over.
Long may this remain a country of sufficient peace and prosperity to allow folk the leisure to concern themselves with such nonsense.

Other than domestic violence as a general issue (which I feel quite strongly about)... I don't. Their lives, their business. It sells papers helps their transition from news papers to gutter press.
And what's more I won't join in any discussions on the matter...

Yep his media mates are already bagging her. Some are referring to her as a stalker. Don't care what she's done no one, male, or female deserves being kicked so hard that their back gets broken. That's some powerfull kick too do that.

Funny... $150,000 (or whatever the actual amount is, but it is definitely 6 figures) paid to her because she fell down some stairs? I think not...
The end result though will be limp.
He paid her a 6 figure sum.
If he went to court when this happened, he would have been ordered to pay $10,000.... tops.... if ya lucky. Most likely $5000...
He has probably paid his way out of any further sentence already.
