It's only fair that anyone considering buying should know if the bike they are looking at is overpriced (in the opinion of other kb members).

If i wanted to sell mine and think about all the money on mods I spent id be selling it at around 9k + ( not that i would ) thats the kinda money i spent, and looking at yours id say you have spent a bit aswell and not like your asking to far. ( is some one can come up with 7k its theres ) :-)

never heard anybody say kiwibikers are fags, your entitled to you opinion i am entitled to mine, MY opinion is that 8K is way over the top, yours apparantly is im a dick for having my opinion, and as for wanting 9k +for yours (if you were selling) you need to learn no matter how much $$$ you pour into something its only worth what someone will pay. Poster #1s main disadvantage is that unless he can take a low deposit and finance the purchaser he wont get anything near 8k because the only people stupid enough the pay that price wont have the money. my 2c worth

they also get something called a WARRANTY with a new hyosong and no matter how much work and how good it has been done there will always be something crapping out on it once its becomes a daily ride

Let me assure you that I've helped/stood by and laughed at JUST as many people with two-fiddies bought new that have "crapped out" (as you so eloquently put it), as I have with the 15+ year old bikes.

It's just as much about preventative maintenance - without that even a "new" bike will crap out.

I got offferd 6k cash on mine tonight is that me "ripping them off"?? im not taking it because i know I can get more its not even for sale and a guy that was in at wild west honda offered me that Don gave me a call tonight and told me.

So I just thought some dude out there might want one of these and would make an offer. If it doesnt sell, no loss. I will park it in the barn and just use it on the occasional ride. I realise it is a public forum and yes everyone has their opinion.

ignore the knockers bro, and stick to your price. It is likely the top ZXR250 in NZ and someone will want it regardless of price. We need more people who are prepared to rebuild/restore bikes to this extent. Keep up the good work.

A ZXR250A was my first choice when I started looking at bikes.. but I got so sick of looking at the really rundown ones(especially since I'm very selective with what colours I'll go for)! I like the twin headlights over all the newer styles of sportbike headlights.
My problem was I couldn't afford a decent one, and didn't want one that was already dead. Ended up getting a brand new bike of the opposite riding position..

If you can get back what you have put into it, good for you. But most people that are after a 250 are after their first bike and aren't likely to have alot of money.. take your time with your sale and it'll happen.
