They are a pretty good bike, plenty of power, good brakes, they do have 3 way adjustable suspension both ends.
They do flex a little when pushing hard through the corners but not enough to cause any dramas. Once you get used to it its pretty predictable.
With standard gearing will lift the front from 50km/h off the throttle.
Average riding will get you 250 - 300 km per tank.
If you do buy one, i have a workshop manual that i am looking at getting rid of.

Great bike for touring, commuting, and just getting around.
Will not eat a litre sports bike, but still go fairly well.
Factory they do an 11.2 sec 1/4 mile
Accelleration is pretty good, have managed to keep up with litre sports bikes till the corners, and only fell behind due to lack of confidence in my own ability.
Very comfortable for long trips, done over 500km,(Kerikeri to cape rienga, and back) two up, in a day without any probs.

try a Z1000 too.

I prefer the styling of the 03-06 model, and ya can pick them up for around 10k.

and they look the shiz with a few small mods.

wat he said ---- good, capable, comfortable ride
but i'd have the suspension seen to if i were really serious or more competent/competative

[also i keep meaning to upgrade the pipe - the original sounds a bit like a sewing machine :o]
