Triumph’s US wing has announced record sales of over 7,500 bikes in 2004, making Triumph the fastest growing production motorcycle company in America for 2004.

Success is attributed to two models, the Thruxton 900 and the Rocket III.

Confident forecasts of another record-breaking year in 2005 are being made, based on the first full-season for the Rocket III, and all-new versions of the Speed Triple and Sprint ST featuring Triumph's new 1050cc three cylinder engine arriving in dealer's showrooms in March.

and a few posts down Triumph posts a loss....

Is this is how they get tax breaks... shifting money to the country with the lowest tax?

Must confess I thought about linking the two items.

Got to be irritating for Triumph though - the year you seem to be making the big breakthrough is the year that the Dollar slumps big time against Sterling!

Wasn't the US the biggest market for the 'old' Triumph? Seems as if history is repeating itself.

Perhaps we'll see a Rocket 4 yet.
