Do you have any idea what it costs for a decent internet connection to support enough bandwidth for streaming media for 1000's of users?

We've always been utter nazis about it as work, because as soon as more than a handful of people start streaming, the net goes to shit for the other 1400 users.

That being said those upon high have said they really really want streaming media, so are currently in posession of a business proposal outlining how much its going to cost us for a 50mb international pipe. I think the $$$ involved made more than a few of them go "Holy shit do we really need this" because the annual bill for that pipe is around the national average house price :eek5:

I rode through the bottom of town on the way back to the office yesterday - all I saw were middle aged guys who had the look of naughty school boys on their way to Queen street in order to see naked boobs. Now, I actually don't give a rats ass about the boobs - but it makes me scratch my head, so many guys showing so little class leering on the sidelines. I have an issue with the guys who objectify women as being sex toys or whatever. If the girls are stupid enough to get into the industry, it's their choice. If the guys are stupid enough to stand on the sidelines, again, it's their choice.

Oh, the fun part of yesterday, going along beach road back to Parnell - filtered past a row of traffic, middleaged guy in a ute at the front took exception - so I left them behind. Sitting at the next set of lights, even though I was correctly placed in the lane, ute pushes alongside me to make his point. So I rolled forward, backed the gixer up and for some reason experienced a momentary lose of traction for about 10 seconds peppering middleage fucktard with stones and rubber. Then got off the scoot and went back to ask him if he still had a problem.
