After some lowlifes broke into my house and stole all my keys I need to get the bike re-keyed..

Whats the best / cheapest way of doing this? Will any old licksmith / locksmith do the trick?

yep can do if you take the locks out and take them to him at Auckland Lock services in Gt Nth Rd. New Lynn. Ph. 827-5425 and speak to Adrian. If they come out mobile it'll cost callout fee etc.

I'm assuming it's a Honda CBR you have. If so has it got the HISS system?

If it has and you have lost all your keys and the key serial number then you are looking at a new ECU at mega bucks:shit::cry:

If some shit head has keys to your bike i'd look at changing barrels with new keys as well. Don't want the low life scum taking ya bike next.

Its an old honda so there is no Hiss system.

I still have keys - but so do the crooks. I need the bike to no longer accecpt the key I have, so the crooks dont turn up and put their key in and ride away.

Do i need to remove the ignition barrel / boot lock / tank lock and take them to a bike friendly locksmith? How the hell do i get the tank lock off?

God i hate fuckers who steal shit.

What sort of wallet damage should I be expecting?

It can get quite expensive because bike ignition barrels can be right bastards. While cutting a new key from a barrel or re-keying an existing barrel is only about $30, if I were you I would price up a new barrel and possibly have the other locks re-keyed to the new barrel. You may be pleasantly surprised at the cost of new, then again you may not, so investigate all the options.
