Suzuki A50 = THE BEST SMALL COMMUTER
Registered as a moped = can be ridden on a car licence and doesn’t need a W.O.F. Licensed until January 2009
Comes with toolkit, manual, spare key and if you pay full price I'll throw in a helmet worth $135.
Apart the bottom end the whole bike has been rebuilt;
THE FRAME, WHEELS AND BODYWORKS HAVE HAD; Front forks replaced, bike stripped down and frame cleaned and checked, painted petrol tank, side covers, fork covers, rear mudguard and engine side covers, replaced speedo, replaced both tyres and rear rim, replaced front brake shoes and fitted new rear vision mirror.
THE ELECTRICS HAVE HAD; replacement indicators, flasher unit, headlight, taillight, horn, hand controls (including lever) new battery fitted, replaced faulty wiring and fitted a complete set of new bulbs.
THE ENGINE HAS HAD; replaced chain, removed and honed cylinder, replaced cylinder head and both gaskets and replaced both sprockets.
Handles Wellington hills well. I rode this bike for 9 months around Wellington. This included almost everyday I went up and down the Ngauranga Gorge without a hassle.
There are two small tears in the seat as shown in the photo of the seat (I would have bought a cover but ran out of money) and there is surface rust on the front mudguard, handlebars and exhaust.
