Bike Business in Portsmouth, UK were astounded when the local council changed parking spaces outside their shop to “blue badge holders only”, meaning that their customers had no-where to park when visiting the shop

But following a petition of over 300 signatures, plus the support of local MP Mike Hancock, the council has rescinded it’s decision and changed one of the two bays back to general parking.

Manager of Bike Business, Martyn Saxton, 48, said “I knew that eventually they would have to change the parking back. The trouble is that the council are using taxpayers' money to do this.

I know where this is and I cn understand the council being worried about parking the whole road is a pain in the arse for driving and parking. it is a bit stupid though to change it to blue permit holders. Not being able to park your bike outside the store is a bit daft. The should just make it s it is parking on one side of the street and no the other and then just alternate it down the street.
