Until I saw the mention of BSA I thought it was the 09 model of the Triumph Scrambler!!!

Seriously, old bikes like those are so cool. I for one would like to have it in my shed.

I cant remember the last time I had to kick start a bike but I bet there is a knack to getting that going! Looks like the sort of bike that would throw you over the bars as it kicked back on the kick start.

i like the look more than the scrambler( and i love the scrambler)

i remember getting a knee in the chest from my mates old 650 bonnie, knocked me off sideways. but once you get the knack after a few bruises
you'd be away.

Dirt track tyres.The alloy head is pretty rare,so is the SC gearbox ratio.....never liked full width hub BSA's.

Can only relate starting back to my 850 Interstate , once you got the knack it was dead easy, started first or second kick & didn't bite at all, fun watching others try though ' if you can start it you can have a ride'
Why the hell did I sell it !!!

Personally I would prefer an early seventies Triumph Adventurer, that would drag out the checkbook.
I merember drooling over one in Whites in Newmarket when I was a 15 year old hairy arsed school boy on a Honda 100..

You wouldn't put high comp pistons in an A10,even if it had the thick barrel flange like this one - they just tore the barrel right off the flange.At 7.5:1 it would be an easy starter.No rocker cover on an A10 - looks like he gave up after 30 years of trying...and I can understand why.The pre unit swingarm BSA frame was one of the best (all were stamped A7) and used for trials,scrambles and road racing....I preferred it to the Featherbed.

In 1973 I withdrew $650 out of the bank for a deposit on a brand new Adventurer at Whites.....but never liking a debt I paid cash for something else before I even got to the bike shop.It wasn't a good time in my life to own a new bike anyway....
