can't seem to find the perfect pants!

I'm 6'5, and have a couple of pairs of cordura pants, both fit fine till I get on the bike and over the course of the ride they ride up my legs till the knee armour is way above the knee to the point of probably being completely useless in the event of a bin...

Any one got any good recommendations for pants?

Im 6'4" and I have Revit Codura Pants. They are quite good, decent length and I havent had any of the problems that you describe.

Then again you versys would have quite a high seat height so that wouldnt be helping.

Yeah mate, tailor to fit is the way to go for you !
Used to fit out the oblong guys all the time when we were making the leathers !
Quasi will sort ya out !
Then again any outfit would ! Ya just need to find the fit and look you want and by the sounds of ya add the odd inch or 5 to the thigh length, to get ya knees in the right place !
Things to remember is leather will stretch, if your under 30 so will you, but leather will only stretch so far ! Buy em tight as posible without adding a squeek, unless yr fighting the bulge at 30 and then go for comfy, you'll both stretch together !
Everything i just said goes out the door for women lol is why we started lace up sides, as they were forever coming in with the trou we made 12 months earlier getting them taken in or out !
Alternatively you could cut what you recon you need out of the thighs of one pair of your cordura's and take them to a tailor and have him add it into one pair, even up the inside leg and your away ! Cheap fix but would work !

I used to do that sort of thing for my ex... add a bit here, increase the size there, lengthen here, now replace the zip :laugh:...My poor little sewing machine used to cringe at times...:lol: I did it for free, would have charged a bomb if I could have...LOL

Good thinking for a cheapy fix though.

Seriously, if you are that different from "normal" (whatever that means to the manufacturer) custom made is the only way to go, and will save you heaps in the long run too.

I just figured that's how cordura pants are. I'd think they'd need to be tighter around the calf to stop them moving up.

Got the same problem with mine, keep riding up above the boots (im only 5'10" though) seeing the girlies pair of tight pants once with a bit of elastic that went under their foot to keep them looking tight (the pants that is..;)

Thought it could be an idea to stitch a bit of thick elastic on the bottom of the pants that could be pulled under the heal of the boot to keep them down?
Of course the elastic would be black so it wouldnt show the geeky suspenders look for your pants ;) and even put a clip on them so they could be clipped under the base of the pants when not needed (although if the elastic was tight enough it would just hide itself under the base anyway if you stitched it to the inside.

Am I missing the obvious, but if the pants are generally a good fit, couldn't you just relax when the road is straight and then pull the pants back down?
I mean, the riding up can't happen that quickly that you shouldn't be doing it more than a couple times a trip.
