Hi Amazon, I see you are are a Verago person as well. I am 47 never ridden a bike. Mid life crisis prob, Found a '95 Virago 11,000 kms. I love my baby and having alot of fun with it. nice to see another around. I am 6'2" and consider nice and comfy even though riding about 65kms per day. Could not believe my fuel bill or should I say lack of it, Love your new one have fun

The Virago is not my new bike. Today I just bought a brand new Suzuki C50. I have pictures in my album if you go to my profile you should be able to see them. The Virago I bought back in Feb when I first started to ride. It's a great bike and have never had an ounce of probs with it. As I am still on my R licence I will be holding onto it for few months longer so I can go and get my full. Even then I think I may keep it.... hard to get rid of my very first bike...:)

Nice! Always good to hear new freedom machines are popping up in people's possessions!

And yessiree bob, I like the cut of your jib to seriously consider keeping your first bike! That way you never have any regrets!

Well, for a completely unbiased opinion, I have to say I rather approve of your choice...

It looks nice, even in the two-tone white apart from being a bit bare of extras at the mo. Planning any additions?

We've had our C50T for 18mths and I am commuting to work on it now and loving it! The pipes are a bit quiet at first, but if you're patient, as the miles clock up they seem to take on a pleasant "bark" and mine sounds great with nearly 7,000km up! And before anyone decries me for only less than 7,000km in 18mths, I was unwell for a long time and can only now begin to really get out and ride a lot more.

Will have to wait another couple of months as Amazon is not quite legal yet.....she had to get me to ride it home today [YEEEHAA!!!]. Nothing to stop us getting together, she still has the Virago 250.

I intend on getting a windsheild and sissy bar and rack. I need to have these by Feb when we do our South Island road trip.... gotta bit of time though. Cant understand how they can justify the price on those extras!!:gob:

Yeah that's why the 'T' was such good value! Only extras I added were the excellent VA lowers which stopped the helmet buffetting. A windshield can cause buffetting due to the airflow curling up under the screen. You can check this by riding with your left hand and forearm held horizontally across your front where you'll feel the wind coming up. The lowers deflect the wind past your knees.

Check out Value Accessories site in the US. I got the lowers delivered to my door in four days and the price was very good.

Suzuki added the Kentucky Drive saddle bags, the Givi backrest and I think the Mephis Shades screen for the NZ bikes. All good quality gear.

To put you all in the picture, I am Amazons better half [she'll argue this point]...aaaaanyway.....
Not too long ago [5 - 7 yrs] I decided to buy my first bike, a 1986 Virago 750, it was my very first bike and Amazon did NOT!!!! want me to get it...I ignored her & got it anyway a couple of years later the ole girl seized [not through lack of love or attention I might add], this only steeled my resolve to get something new...BRAND NEW!!!!. This saddened Amazon to the point that it would be, Quote "OVER MY DEAD BODY" unquote, would I be buying anything, let alone new!!!!!!

A wise man once told me "water will always wear away rock" and so I kept poring on the water until my rock was nothing but a grain of sand....I got my way....a Bully C90 was in my stable within 3 days!!!!!

Amazon was still yet to be convinced of the "thing" I had about bikes and rallys and stuff....you all know what I'm talking about:Punk:

It was not until one beautiful sunny weekend almost 9 months ago that on the Saturday I took her on the Bully to a little cafe in Outram and then on the Sunday we repeated this again out at Carys Bay where, while waiting for our lunch to be served outside, enjoying the sun and the dream view of the bay, two bikes pulled up and from under the helmets appeared a husband & wife combo.

This was the defining moment when she under stood what I'd been trying to tell her for years about the "bikes, rallys & stuff".

She now has, not only bought a Virago 250 [to learn on] but now has a Bully C50 [BRAND NEW!!!].....little did I know back then that I had lit a fire under her ass big enough to persuade her not only to part with some $$ for her 250 but to part with even bigger $$$$$$ for the Bully.......my work is done.....or is it????

I'm stoking the next fire as we speak:innocent:
