So after round 3 Deano and my self decided that if we are going to be a team we might as well make it official by painting my bike.
So a month of preperation and a few cans of paint and J-Lo was transformed in to her new colours (and looking shit hot if i do say so my self).
With a huge thanks to the station sports bar and cafe we had a nice motel to stay at on the fridy night just to make the trip a little less rushed.
After a beer or three we decided that we would take the bikes to the track only to find a couple of suzuki swifts in our garage so we had to wait a while and got talking to some of the drivers. One of them asked how the new KTM's stack up against the jappa's. Huh deano asked him what KTM's they are both jappa's. We had a few laughs about that.
Any way sign in sat morn and get ready for the scrub in. I was doing this as i had put an ohlins in the rear of the beast and was itching at the bit to have a go.
It felt awesome, A totally different bike now I love it.
F1 qualifying.
Make my way to the dummy grid and my bloody visor poped off so had a scramble to get it back on it got all wet on the inside and foged up on the track. I could see nothing.
Made my way round to a very wet and slippery back section of the track and was not enjoying it at all. Pulled in to the pits thinking i would not have qualifyed but found my self 21 on the grid so was quite happy with that.
Whilst watching the first f2 race it pissed down and then got called of pack up and go home.
What i have learnt from this is. The drainage at minefeild sucks and its real bad on the extension was like a lake out there.
All in all was a crap day made better with great company and my bike still looks mint which is good.
Masive thanks to the Station sports cafe and bar for the accomodation, Bridgestone nz and Firestone Upper Hutt for the use of the ute and fuel card. Deano for the hours you put in on my bike and storing it in your garage, Your a top bloke mate. Last but not least my lovely lady Tania, None of this would be possible with out you. Any body that i have forgotten thank you its always a pleasure hanging out with every one and just talking crap.
Bring on a DRY!! round 5 look forward to seeing all of you there.:niceone:
