Sat looking out of the window in work earlier in the week. Clear skies. In the distance, the snow topped Takas were bathed in glorious sunshine. Considered slipping away from work early but just got a new boss and ..... Bring on the week-end....
Saturday morning, sun shining but too many things to do so couldn't get out. Watched with a painful look on my face as I first hear, then watch, as MD fires up his Triumph and sets off for what I presume was a play in the Rapa.
Tell myself, later. Get the jobs done then you can go for a play. Finally finish everything I needed to get finished only for the rain to start. Never mind. get up early on Sunday and go for a blast......

Aaaaaaah.... When is this crap weather going to end!!!!!!!!!! :crybaby:

Crap weather? Where? All I see is normal weather for this time of the year.
You want it dry and hot 24/7? them move to Auzzie like all the other moaners.
We live on an Island that should be a rain forest, and you moan about the wet weather. Next month you could be saying...good god it is too hot!!
Yeap its cold, drizzly and damp, but its NewZealand!.
Plenty of time in the summer to ride, nows the time to relax and read a good book in front of the fire, or get into the garage and prepare your ride for summer, so it dont break down on ya.
Weather Moaners......:girlfight:

Awww + 1 on that Subike I for one don't mind the rain being on tank water
We do get it pretty good here in NZ the last few winters have hardly seemed such ! (allthough the last 7 or 8 weeks have been the wettest for a number of years) But i tell ya what, i sure as hell aint moaning that its been raining for the last 7 weeks 1 day and 1 hour lol and had planned my little stint of off road penance for winter (even though i never got to hand the licence in myself b4 fate led me into the checkpoint)
But caught myself saying something i never thought i'd utter on friday ! Wishing the sun would faaark off again after 3 days of tempting weather lol

FFS who rattled your NZ flag flying cage.

Yes it is New Zealand and it isn't summer so don't expect it to be dry all of the time. I'm originally from the North-East of the UK. Now that's cold, drizzly and damp. I ride every day to commute no matter what the weather is doing. Just sick of looking out of the window mid-week to see good riding weather only for it turn to crap at the week-end.
And the new rubber put on the bike months ago is going flat because it has not been dry enough on the week-end to give them a good scrub on the twisties.

Roll on the summer.
And you won't ever hear me 'moaning' about the weather being too hot. Not in NZ anyway. I don't want it too hot. Couldn't stand the heat in the leathers.

Howdy neighbour. I figured we would never be so lucky as to get TWO fine days in a row so Í made the most of yesterday. A full day in the rapa. The roads are surprisingly in good nick over there.
Lots of Harleys out. And the good news is the signs of spring are showing. Trees in blossom, lambs & carves popping out all over the place. Then there's the other clue - heaps more bugs splatter!

But I hear you on the rain. I'm supposed to be on a golf course right now for the first time in months - no chance. Atleast I got half my planned weekend funtime achieved.

Hear you there MD. I heard you come down the drive and thought Bugger.

I was out with the boozers 2 week-ends ago at Te-Marua. Standing on the second tee (par 3) and not being able to see the green for the snow blizzard was not much fun.

I'm off to get drenched watching the Phoenix at the Stadium shortly.

I just had an awesome ride to and from a mate's place for brunch.

There's something uncanny about being exposed to the elements but not being wet & cold.

What little traffic there is travels at 60 km/hr because some TV advert or other has convinced them death is a certainty if you go any faster in the wet.

Best thing of all; there were no other bikes passing uncomfortably close on the straights and then holding me up in the corners.
