Wellington Ulysses will be holding a gravel option ride on Sunday 31 August over the Admiral Range from Martinborough to Gladstone. This is a great gravel road ride. All welcome to join us, especially if you would like to know more about the Ulysses Club.
Leaving from Brown Owl Shops (Akatarawa Road) at 10am, lunch at Gladstone pub.

Ken I said on ADV Rider I might try and make this ride. Will either come on my XR or steal Mrs merv's DR650 and leave the VFR in the garage. Are we going to go down to Pahaoa too?
What's probably worth mentioning is that there is a road option too isn't there Ken up the water tower/dam road so that if any KB road riders are looking to try a ride with the Ulysses crew they should check this out too? #3590

That would be correct Mr Merv. Road option will got to the end of the seal on Admiral Rd, then back and round the Water Towers before returning to Gladstone for lunch.

OK I've at least lubed the chain on the DR and filled the tank with gas so I'll be there and hope for a day as nice as today.

Watertower/dam road as in Te Wharau Rd /Kourarau hydro dam ?
I went for a blast up there a couple of weeks back after work to get in some cornering practice, only to find "30kph" signs and gravel patches on the way up...
Sheeeit!!
