Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I know now, exactly who to aim for.

Heh heh, you're dead R1 boy...... :msn-wink:

I have sweet FA pics of me on my bike as no one's interested in standing around waiting for me to turn up. By the time I get there, they've all done their shit and fuckked off to the next location :disapint:

I must say that is one sweet looking R1 you got there dude!

I used to have a profile in bike pics but I don't know my user name or password anymore since I haven't been there for a few years.

Ya get a Silver one then every one know's it's a 1000 . Have riden a 01 R1 last year would say the 2000 carby model had better bottom end than the 01 .No other bike has Twin Butterflys in their throttle body's that I know of apart for the GSXR's this is why even thou they may not be the best flat out they are still the pick of all the mag's for it's Motor ! > me's weigh 105kg find set up on bike good for around 230/250 k then starts to need abit more input .Ps better brakes not the one's I'v riden . Over powerful brake's are not all ways a good thing from my veiw point

While we're all off topic...
I have a question about R1 handling. A few months ago I was toying with the idea of getting a newer bike, so I had a play on a Tuono (not my thing), RSV (luverly- but with ‘racing’ pipes it seemed a bit frantic in terms of noise) and a 98 R1. Took the R1 down Ferry Road to head up Tunnel road, got to the Ferry/ Tunnel road roundabout and tipped it in, only to find the bloody thing really didn’t want to- it wanted to go straight and required a lot of pressure on the bars to make it go around. Is that normal behaviour for an R1 of that year? It had Metzellers of some sort on, which had quite a rounded profile. I suspect the tyres were to blame. And yes I was looking where I wanted to go…

Ive learnt from bitter experience NOT to have 'inappropriate' photos at in the 'public arena' so no deal.
If somebody else comes up with the pics? well it's my bad luck but I'm not shooting myself in the arse (again) by posting the pics on this site dude.

As much as I'd like to show off my 400, since on this forum is probably the only time it'll get close to an R1 or GSXR anything, I'm not so keen on having my bike out there for show... anything that makes it more traceable to me kinda increases the chances that it will be traced to me!! :sly:

mmmm, tempting. I'd only do it if I'm covered under your insurance- not that I'd do anything silly, but you hear sooo many stories of guy's that lent a bike to a mate who then dropped it...
