i recently got a dse 8gb flashdrive to mainly use for readyboost, it was working well for a while then decided to say the memories full even when there was nothing in it..? so i formatted it and now when i go to use it to speed up my system it says it doesnt have enough write performance on it, usually around 1200 KB/sec
any ideas on how i can get this working again?

There is a big difference between a cheap flash drive and a quality one. Bigger is not always better either as they tend to be slower.
Besides, readyboost is a bit gimicky, you'd be better off buying more RAM for your PC.
