Transporting from Auckland to Wellington

I was wondering how much it would cost to get a bike down from Auckland to Wellington?

I have a friend who might be selling his Hornet and the easy thing would be to fly over and ride it down - it to be completely honest, it has been double digit years since I've ridden on the road and I don't think that journey would be the best maiden voyage for me.

Any (cheap) suggestions?

A motorcycle mover will do it for about $400, pick it up and drop it off at your house

Try Captain Transporter, I just bought my bike up from Inver to Chch and they have been great, were $100 cheaper than what all the others quoted!!!!!

Fly up and take an easy cruise back ,wont take long to get feel back and you'll get to know the bike.
