Yes I have only had it for a matter of months, but this is not the bike for me. Perfect condition, fully serviced, warranty etc etc. 8000km (mostly commuting). New rear tyre. In blue.
Everything you want in a sports super bike and more. Sensible offers considered.
Read my review I posted a while ago. Oh and by the way the gearbox is fine now.
If you need a second opinion ask ZAPF.

The bike is too focused for me. Speed is its forte and I spend most of my time commuting on it, it's just a waste.
When brand new the box was a bit notchy and I got an occasional false neutral. After a few thousand k that all dissappeared, its fine now.

We are gathered here today, to mourn the loss of the sanity of a well loved member of KB. Please open your bike manuals to page 12, Chapter 1-14:What to do in case of a malfunction...
Hey Swanman, I totally understand why you're selling. I commute in my car, that bike likes to stretch it's legs
Just an item of interest, our bikes have the same milage :stupid: What you asking for yours?

Hummm thats why I brought the GSXR as you can ride it in town & on the road easly due to the ride postion compared to the R1 - ZX10 - Aprilia . Thats another reason why you gota try before ya buy .

Rough price I am looking for is approx 18k.(i.e. 4k less than new price). This figure may be revised as I haven't looked at second hand prices at all. This is the first 04 r1 that I have heard of up for sale.
Jeez I have had the bike for 4 months so that would mean depreciation of 1k a month. Doesn't seem right. Ah well.
Replacement bike. Mmm not sure. Something cheaper, more comfy...

Not that I'm interested but that's a fair price for a good bike. Good luck man.

If you really want to get paranoid about the depreciation, think of it as 50c per kilometre. Thats right ;) just watch it tick away :D.

its a nice bike.... what I would call a flying carpet :devil2: however to ride it fast and give it a handfull you'll have to be either the one who owns all the roads in NZ or be running from the law the whole time...
The greatest part about the bike is the suspension.... very very well balanced and dampened.... speed is deceptive...
One idea is to mount a cluster of Xeon Rally lights on it and go night riding with no cars on the road on a Sunday night! :P
and the bike feels so small, that you are liturally floating over the road.... NiCE..
Oh and it has a new rear tire too I think.
Pitty I don't have the cash.

That one seems to have a growth resembling a Satelite dish, growing out of the tank.
I'd steer well clear......

"2004 Yamaha YZF R1, the bike is in perfect cond and it has never been involved in an accident, also I have the title and you will recieve it with the bike acessories (helmet, jacket, gloves bike original)"
Does anyone else detect a HINT of engrish here? It's subtle, but I sense it.
I'd recommend staying well away from this one too.
