Have to share my Friday morning trek to work with you... and if 'he' reads KB hopefully he'll recognise what a fuckwit he is! 'bout 7.45 am stopped on Ti Rakau Dr about 3 cars back from the red light with Gossamer Dr, a guy on what I think was a GN250 goes down the right turning lane overtaking cars then has to cane it to cut in front of the queue now with a green light... not so bad. I follow him as he turns down Trugood, goes down the left of the queue again that waits for right turning onto Cryers. A truck and trailer (tanker I think) heads the queue and turns right as Mr GN250 tries to go around the outside and finds himself in no mans land with no road left so rather than buttoning off and tucking in behind the truck, goes onto the footpath for... and get this... about 50 to 60 Kph for about 200 meters! can't pass the truck and stays on the footpath over a side road back on the footpath for another 150 meters... finally getting back on the road when the truckie goes into a driveway. What a cock! and we wonder why other drivers think they way they do, go figure. Hope he reads KB!

And understand this, if I crash and it's my fault, I can understand that, and if I can trace it back to a mechanical fault (as I did with my first car, not written off btw) then it is still my fault for not sorting it out sooner.

On ya 98, had to laugh as it brought to mind a similar experience !
Was only a young fella meself and had pinched my bro's little farm bike to get around to a mates (one of them low/high range jobs with a girls type frame where ya can step forwards and not do ya nads in)
Got to my mates and he had his family staying ! Well his brother ended up asking if he could have a ride around the cauldisac, asked if he could ride and well hell yeah was his reply so away he went around the corner happy as ! Next thing he was coming back around the sweeping bend full noise mounted the kerb crashed through a hedge, then a picket fence the whole time one arm flailing in the air, legs everywhere , but would he let go of the throttle ? No way kept going at full noise till he embedded himself into the side of a neighbours hardyboard house !
His mum dad uncle aunt bro sister in law all standing there with gobs wide open and me with my head in my hands knowing i was in for a bashing !

The thing is, everyone knows that there's stupid riders, we've all seen it, it doesn't need to be posted in every thread (This thread itself is different from that, as it's an actual example, not just Katman telling everyone that he is better than them).
No, I don't know the reason behind his stance, but I really don't care, because he goes about it in a really arrogant and big headed way. And because of that I don't think anyone wonders why he says what he says, it's pretty clear that he just thinks he's better than everyone else and as I already said, thinks he should be the only person allowed on a bike, because no one else is worthy.
Band wagon? He get's replies because he never says anything new or constructive.

I can't directly quote "I am Katman and I am better than you". But the majority of posts have the implied message. Like if you own a 250 then you can't have any sort of a valid opinion, because owning a 250 makes you less than Katman. And giving off the message that he thinks he is the one exception for his rules that he applies to all motorcyclists. The only advice I've seen him give a new rider is "Don't ride, you aren't good enough" (short version)

Sorry, I came to this late. But then I'm a guy and I'm not supposed to come too quick...

This guys biggest crime was that he was riding a GN250, he shoulda at least been on a DR250 for that sort of caper. :devil2:

Answering your question... I am the thread author but this thread has been somewhat highjacked by other agendas. I'm 40 something, driving since I was 15, riding off road since I was 13, a cyclist since 11 with some serious K's under my belt but only taken to riding a M/cycle on the road this year because my V8 is a thirsty beast. And for some years I was a professional driver in Auckland so I tend to think I'm qualified to have a balanced opinion... if that's really what you're asking.

'Tis what footpaths are for , isn't it?

Saw a wee scooter do that today. Stopped at the Greenlane lights on Gt Sth Rd, and saw him filter along the left hand kerb, down a line of traffic, and stop at the front. To the left of a car signalling a (legal) left hand turn. Oh oh, I think. That could get ugly when the light changes. But no, he had it sussed. Indicator on ("M'gawd, he's not going to run the red straight into the solid stream of cross traffic is he ?"). Nope. Up onto the footpath and along Green Lane Rd he went.

No bitchslap from me.

You've just voided yourself by saying that you're not an arse. Only the masses of KB can decide that.

Care to rephrase?
Asses are generally useful beasts of burden.
Whereas arses have mixed blessings

I don't know about you.. but I wouldn't want to be a donkey.. but that depends on where you are in the world for that meaning.

And here's 4 definitions for you.

1. a stupid, foolish, or stubborn person
2. A vain, self-important, silly, or aggressively stupid person.
3. the buttocks.
4. the rectum.
